Win one of five copies of either Stan Walker’s latest album From The Inside Out or Jessica Watson’s compilation CD, Songs From The Pink Lady: The Music That Accompanied Jessica Around The World.Reporter Nicole Poppy discovered that Stan Walker has named his second album From the Inside Out because he wants it known that the tracks are ``more than just pop songs’’ and mean something to him.
Walker, winner of Australian Idol 2009, is releasing From the Inside Out on August 20, a mixture of styles including hip-hop and R’n'B.
The inspiration for writing lyrics comes from variety of places, Walker says, including ``things that happen in everyday life, like love’‘.
The album features a cover of Des’ree’s Kissing You.
``It’s a deep, emotional song.’‘
If he could collaborate with anyone it would be Beyonce because he admires her talent.
Walker who was born in Melbourne,says that winning Australian Idol last November was the ``best thing I’ve done’‘.
Although tour dates for From the Inside Out have not yet been decided but he says he is ``definitely coming to Adelaide’‘.
His first album, Introducing Stan Walker, was released December 8, 2009.
