"Language Timothy". Ronnie Corbett's most successful non Two Ronnies series gets a nice three disc box set treatment this month with the release by Madman of Sorry Series 1-3 and to celebrate we have three copies up for grabs.
In this highly popular BBC sitcom which first aired in the early 1980's, Corbett plays middle aged librarian Timothy Lumsden who at 41 is still living at home completely under the thumb of his highly molly coddling mother (a fab performance from Barbara Lott).
Timothy is desperate to break free, after all he has a good job, lots of friends and a great hobby with his involvement in the local am-dram society but finds that every attempt he makes is thwarted by the machinations of his mother.
This excellent box set includes series 1-3 of the show as well as plenty of extras in the shape of audio commentaries from Corbett on selected episodes, a new interview with Ronnie, production notes and best of all a sketch taken from the 1982 BBC festive show The Funny Side of Christmas.
