How to Enter
To enter into the draw, entrants must head to
www.whatsyoursovereignhill.com.au and register to upload photos, stories and videos during the promotional period by following the questions and instructions on the upload page.
Terms and Conditions
Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these Terms and Conditions. Participation in this promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
Entry is only open to Australian residents aged 16 years or over. Employees and their immediate families of the Promoter, and agencies associated with this promotion are ineligible. “Promotional Period” means the period commencing on 15 November 2010 and closing at 4pm AEST on 31st January 2011.
To enter into the draw, entrants must head to
www.whatsyoursovereignhill.com.au and register to upload photos, stories and videos during the promotional period by following the questions and instructions on the upload page. Entry and registration is free. Photos will be rated by visitors to the website during the course of the Promotional Period. Ratings are not bestowed by the Promoter.
The winner will be the entrant that has the highest final sum of: (a) average star rating at competition close, multiplied by (b) total number of votes received during promotional period. Entrants must be the owner of the photo/s they choose to submit at the whatsyoursovereignhill.com.au website. The entrant must also have the rights to submit and publish their chosen photo's at the whatsyoursovereignhill.com.au competition website. Photos submitted to the whatsyoursovereignhill.com.au website must not: (a) defame or damage any person or business; (b) contain nudity nor be of a pornographic nature; and, (c) depict any violence or abuse.The promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including an entrant’s identity, age and place of residence) and to disqualify any entrant who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these conditions of entry or who tampers with the entry process. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
Incomplete, indecipherable or illegible entries will be deemed invalid.
All draws will take place at Sovereign Hill, 39-41 Magpie St Ballarat at 4.00pm on 4th February. The winner will be notified by mail and the winner’s name will also be published on the website on 7th February. The promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
The first three valid entries drawn will each win the Major Prize which is a "$1000 GOLD NUGGETS". Any ancillary costs are not included and are the responsibility of the winner. If for any reason a winner does not take the Major Prize, or an element of the Major Prize, then the prize or that element of the prize will not be redeemable for cash. Prizes, or any unused portion of a prize, are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash.
The promoter may conduct such further draws at the same time and place as the original draw, as are necessary on DATE in order to distribute any prizes unclaimed by that date, subject to any written directions for a regulatory authority. In the event of any winners, their names will be published on the whatsyoursovereignhill.com.au website on 8th February.
If any prize (or part of any prize) is unavailable, the Promoter, in its discretion, reserves the right to substitute the prize (or that part of prize) with a prize to the equal value and/or specification, subject to any written directions from the a regulatory authority. If this promotion is interfered with in any way or is no capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law (a) to disqualify any entrant; or (b) subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority, to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the promotion, as appropriate. Any costs associated with accessing the promotional website is the entrant’s responsibility and is dependent on the Internet service provider used. Any contact details entered incorrectly on the website shall render an entry invalid. The use of any automated entry software or any other mechanical or electronic means that allows an entrant to automatically enter repeatedly is prohibited and will render all entries submitted by that entrant invalid. Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, the Promoter (including its officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the Promotion, including, but not limited to, where arising out of the following: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter’s control); (b) any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; (c) any entry or prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; (d) any variation in prize value to that stated in these Terms and Conditions; (e) any tax liability incurred by a winner or entrant; or (f) use of a prize.
All entries remain the property of the Promoter. The Promoter collects entrants’ personal information in order to conduct the promotion. If the information requested is not provided, the entrant may not participate in the promotion. Entrants’ information will also be used in accordance with the whatsyoursovereignhill.com.au privacy policy available at whatsyoursovereignhill.com.au. Entrants’ personal information may be disclosed to the Victorian Office of Gamin Regulation and winners’ names published as required under the relevant gaming legislation. A request to access, update or correct any information should be directed to the Promoter at their address set out below.
