The latest sand-and-sandal film to hit the big screen is the Spanish epic Agora from director Alejandro Amenábar (Open Your Eyes, The Others). Starring Rachel Weisz as Hypatia, the film is set during the fall of the Greco-Roman polytheism as Christianity rises in the Roman Empire, with Hypatia trying to save the Classical antiquity.
