Competition (“the Competition”), you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions:
1. STANDARD TERMS
1.1 Information on how to enter forms part of the terms of entry.
2. WHO CAN ENTER?
2.1 Subject to clause 2.2, entry for the prize draw is open to all residents of Australia over the age of 18 years
where the Channel Seven signal is received.
2.2 Employees and their immediate families of Seven Network (Operations) Limited (“the Promoter”),
Paramount, MNET Group LTD, Pacific Magazines Pty Ltd, Yahoo!7 Pty Limited, Carbon Films and their
associated agencies and companies are not eligible to enter.
3. HOW TO ENTER
3.1 The Competition commences on Friday 26 November 2010 at 09:00 (AEDT) and concludes on Friday 10
December 2010 at 17:00 (AEDT) (“the Competition Period”).
3.2 Entrants must watch Channel Seven during the Competition Period wherein a Competition spot will air from
time to time in commercial airtime.
3.3 The Competition spot will invite viewers to enter the Competition. To enter, viewers must register their entry
by either:
a) Sending a text message/SMS to 19 77 4 777 and registering their full name and postcode; or
b) Logging-on to
www.yahoo7.com.au/megamind to register for the Competition. Online entrants will be
required to register their details including their name, full address, postcode, state, daytime phone
number and email address.
3.4 Only one entry per person per day will be accepted from entrants online. No scripting is allowed for online
entries (which will be deemed invalid). SMS entrants can enter as many times as they like.
3.5 All entries must be received by Friday 10 December 2010 at 17:00 (AEDT) to be included in the prize draw.
3.6 The time of entry for SMS entrants will in each case be the time the SMS is received by the MNET Group
Limited database. The time of entry for online entrants will be the time at which the completed online entry
form is received by the Competition online database. Online entrants will be presented with a confirmation
page once the completed email entry is submitted by the entrant.
3.7 For SMS entrants, each entry must be charged to a mobile account and SMS entries via the internet, computer
generation or “scripting” are invalid and will not be accepted.
3.8 Each SMS entry will be charged at premium rate, namely $0.55 (including GST), which covers the entry and the
reply message. SMS entrants will receive a reply message to their entry.
3.9 All entrants must be 18 years of age or older to enter this Competition.
3.10 Entries remain the property of the Promoter and will not be returned to the entrant. Entrants agree to grant
the Promoter a perpetual and non-exclusive licence to use their entries in all media worldwide and
acknowledge that they will not be entitled to any fee for such use.

Total Combined Prize Value is $17,001AU (including GST). Prize values are based upon the recommended
retail prices and are correct as at 11 October 2010. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any change in
Prize value between that date and the ultimate date on which the Prize is taken. The Winner is not entitled to
receive any money from any party if there is a difference between the maximum Prize value and the actual
Prize value at the time of the draw.
4.3 Unless expressly stated in these terms and conditions all other expenses become the responsibility of the
Winner. The Winner and their travelling companions are responsible for all expenses including but not limited
to spending money (other than that specified), transfers, meals (other than that specified), drinks (other than
that specified), incidentals, mini-bar, laundry, room service, telephone calls, activities, insurance, visas, taxes
(including departure taxes), energy surcharges, gratuities, services charges, passports, travel insurance and all
other ancillary costs. A credit card imprint or cash deposit may be required from the Winner at check-in to the
hotel, for all incidental charges. Any visa or passport charges are the responsibility of the Winner (Visa
requirements can be found at
http://www.uk.emb-japan.go.jp/en/visa/visa-main.html). The Winner and their
travelling companions are required to hold a valid 10 year passport. Any children under 16 who are not
included on a valid 10 year passport will need to hold their own passport when travelling abroad. The
Promoter will not be held responsible for any loss or delay that may occur as a result of any passport or visa
not being produced for travel. The Promoter does not accept any responsibility if the Winner’s party cannot
travel because of non-compliance with any passport, visa or immigration requirements. Most countries now
require passports to be valid for at least 6 months after the return date.
4.4 Flights leave from the Winner’s nearest flight departure capital city. The Winner and their travelling
companions must travel on the same flight. Travel arrangements to and from the winner’s nearest flight
departure capital city airport (Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth) do not form part of the Prize
and are the responsibility of the winner. If the Winner is from Tasmania, ACT or Northern Territory,
connecting flights from the capital cities in these states to the nearest flight departure capital city will not be
included in the Prize package. Unless otherwise stated in the Prize details, flights are based on departures
from a pre-determined airport, detailed within the prize package. Travel costs to and from the activity venue
or departure airport are at the guest’s own cost unless stated otherwise. The carriage passengers and their
baggage is subject to provisions of the Warsaw Convention (as amended if applicable), national legislation and
the carriers’ conditions of carriage.
4.5 The Winner and their travelling companions will have all flights and accommodation booked by the Promoter
from the Winner’s nearest capital city in Australia. The Winner must book their trip 3 months in advance of
intended travel dates. Once booked, no changes will be permitted and cancellation fees or amendment fees,

at the cost of the Winner may apply. Travel and accommodation will be arranged by the licensed travel agent
nominated by the Promoter.
4.6 Restrictions (where given) are only offered as a guide. Some individual activity centres may have restrictions
that are not included within the prize details. Session times where stated, are only offered as a guideline and
are subject to change. Some activities may have to be taken as part of a group or with other members of the
public.
4.7 It is the responsibility of the lead passenger to disclose facts about any passengers that may affect their ability
to travel.
4.8 It is the responsibility of the passenger to hold their own travel and medical insurance. The Promoter,
Paramount or any third party agencies involved are not liable for any injury sustained during the trip or
associated activities.
4.9 Prize redemption dates for which the activity will be taking place in Japan between 1 January 2011 and 1
February 2012. Dates excluded for travel are as follows: Christmas, Easter, National holidays and peak season
and Travel blackout periods of 10 December - 10 January apply. Dates may be changed by the Promoter or
Prize supplier in their absolute discretion. The Prize is for 2 adults (18 years or older) and 2 children (aged 16
years or younger). Other age restrictions may apply for certain activities. All travellers aged less than 18 years
are required to travel with a parent or legal guardian. Travellers aged 16-18 years will require written
permission from their parent or legal guardian before they can travel.
4.10 The Promoter strongly advises the Winner and their travelling companions take out travel insurance for the
duration of the trip. This is to be arranged and paid for by the Winner. Travel insurance is not included and the
Winner and their travelling companions are required to obtain their own travel insurance prior to travel to
cover them for all travel and experiences included in this prize. A copy of the insurance must be supplied prior
to travel.
4.11 Flights and accommodation are subject to availability at the time of booking, are non-transferable and cannot
be exchanged for other destinations. Embargo restrictions apply during certain periods.
4.12 In the event that for any reason the Winner does not take an element of the Prize, or does not participate in
the Prize with his or her companions at the time stipulated by the Promoter then that element of the Prize
will be forfeited by the Winner and cash will not be awarded in lieu of that element of the Prize. Any
alterations to confirmed flights and/or accommodation details will be at the expense of the winner. Airport
taxes and government levies must be paid at the time of booking.
4.13 The accommodation type offered for each prize is specified in clause 4.2 and must be taken in consecutive
nights’ stay.
4.14 In participating in the Prize, the Winner and their travelling companions agree to participate and co-operate
as required in all editorial activities relating to the Competition, including but not limited to being interviewed
and photographed. The Winner and their travelling companions agree to grant the Promoter and Paramount a
perpetual and non-exclusive licence to use such footage and photographs in all media worldwide and the
Winner and their travelling companions will not be entitled to any fee for such use.
4.15 The Winner agrees they will not (and will ensure that their travelling companions do not) sell or otherwise
provide their story and/or photographs to any media or other organisation.
4.16 The Winner should seek independent financial advice about any tax implications that may arise from the prize
winnings. The Prize cannot be transferred, refunded or exchanged and all non-cash prizes cannot be
redeemed for cash.

5.1 Each entrant who has entered the Competition within the Competition Period and who has validly registered
all their contact details in accordance with clause 3 of these terms and conditions (“Qualifying Entrant”) will

be entered into the Prize draw. The Winners will be drawn randomly from the national pool of Qualifying
Entrants.
5.2 The Prize draw will take place at MNET Group Ltd, Level 2, 8 Leigh Street Adelaide SA 5000, on Tuesday 14
December 2010 at 10:30 (AEDT).
5.3 The Winner will be notified by a phone call within two days of the draw and the Winner will also receive a
letter advising them of their Prize. The Winner’s details will be published in the Public Notices section of The
Australian Newspaper on Monday 20 December 2010.
5.4 The Promoter may in its absolute discretion deem entries invalid subsequently to a Winner being notified or a
Winner’s name being announced if it is discovered that the winner did not enter the Competition in
accordance with these terms and conditions. In these circumstances, an additional draw will be conducted.
The Promoter’s decision is final and the Promoter will not enter into correspondence regarding the result.
5.5 It is a condition of accepting the prize that the Winner (and their travelling companions) must comply with all
the conditions of use of the Prize and Prize supplier’s requirements.
5.6 It is a condition of accepting the Prize that the Winner (and their travelling companions) may be required to
sign a legal release in a form determined by the promoter in its absolute discretion.
5.7 Subject to state government legislation if the Winner has not been contacted, or has not contacted the
Promoter by, Monday 14 March 2011 17:00 (AEDT) an unclaimed Prize draw will take place at MNET Group
Ltd, at Level 2, 8 Leigh Street Adelaide SA 5000, on Tuesday 15 March 2011 at 10:30 (AEDT).The new winner's
will be receive a letter advising them of their prise and their details will be published in The Australian on
Monday 21 March 2011 and the original Winner will have no further claim.
6. NO LIABILITY
6.1 In the case of the intervention of any outside act, agent or event which prevents or significantly hinders the
Promoter’s ability to proceed with the Competition on the dates and in the manner described in these terms
and conditions, including but not limited to vandalism, power failures, tempests, natural disasters, acts of
God, civil unrest, strike, war, act of terrorism, the Promoter may in its absolute discretion cancel the
Competition and recommence it from the start on the same conditions, subject to government legislation.
6.2 Seven Network (Operations) Limited & affiliates, Paramount, MNET Group LTD, Yahoo!7 and their associated
agencies and companies will take no responsibility for prizes damaged or lost in transit, or late, lost or
misdirected mail.
6.3 Seven Network (Operations) Limited & affiliates, Paramount, MNET Group LTD, Yahoo!7 and their associated
agencies and companies will not be liable for any misadventure, accident, injury, loss (including but not
limited to consequential loss) or claim that may occur:
a) whilst undertaking any travel won on or connected with their entry into the Competition; or
b) in the acceptance or participation in any prize;
c) as a consequence of late, lost or misdirected mail;
d) due to the broadcast of any program relating to the Competition or the publication of any material,
including any statements made by any compere, staff member, journalist, other entrants or any
other person.
e) in relation to failure of an SMS entry message to be received by the Promoter on account of technical
problems or traffic congestion; or
f) in relation to any damage or loss to Entrant's or any other person's computer software, computer
equipment or internet connection resulting from or related to participation in this Promotion;
g) any variation in Prize value to that stated in these Terms and Conditions;
h) any technical difficulties, technical error or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the
Promoter’s control); or

i) any error, omission, interruption, deletion, delay, defect, theft, unauthorised access or third party
interference.
6.5 If, for any reason, this Competition is not capable of being conducted as planned, including, but not limited,
due to tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control
of the Promoter which corrupt or affect the administration security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of
this Competition, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who
tampers with the entry process, take any action that may be available, and to cancel, terminate, modify or
suspend the Competition, subject to government legislation.
