Sydney’s Chinese Laundry is super proud and oh so excited to be ringing in the New Year with Out Of This World, featuring international guests Nick Warren and Yuksek!
The mighty crowd manipulator Nick Warren has an unmistakable presence on the decks, creating that perfect club mix of driving percussion and soaring musicality that bursts out of the speakers, soaking everyone in melody and drenching them in sound. As a special treat, Warren will be playing a 3 hour set outside in the Garden over midnight, so you can party away 2010 and welcome 2011 under the night sky.
Joining Nick is French-born DJ, remixer and music producer extraordinaire Yuksek. Mixing pop hooks with dance-floor devastation, post-punk riffs with acid loops, disco grooves with experimental Arabesque flourishes, house beats and catchy melodies all with disarming ease, Yuksek’s fiery live sets see him swooping fervently between his vintage keyboards and FX board, setting alight club after club as a matter of course.
