YOUR LAST CHANCE TO WIN TICKETS TO OPRAH FACEBOOK COMPETITION (SYDNEY OPERA HOUSE & TOURISM AUSTRALIA)

1. Information on how to enter and the prizes form part of these Terms and Conditions of entry. Participation in this promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

2. Entry is open to residents of Australia. Employees of Sydney Opera House, Tourism Australia and their immediate families, associated agencies of this promotion and companies associated with this promotion are not eligible to enter the promotion.

3. To enter, the participants must ‘Like’ the Sydney Opera House Facebook page and/or ‘Like’ the Tourism Australia Facebook page and enter the draw by uploading a photo of their ‘favourite Australian icon’ by 4pm Friday 9th December 2010.

4. The prizes are not redeemable for cash or transferable to any other person.

5. Competition commencement date is Monday 7th December 2010. Entries close 3pm Friday 10th December 2010. At the conclusion of the competition date all data collated from Sydney Opera House facebook page will be placed in a barrel and all data collated from the Tourism Australia facebook page will be placed in a barrel and two entries will be pulled out of each barrel. The persons drawn will win the prize listed in point 7.

6. The Marketing Specialist at Sydney Opera House will draw 4 winners on Friday 10th December 2010 (EST). The draw will take place at Level 3, Customs House, Alfred Street Circular Quay, NSW, Australia. The winners will be notified by e-mail and/or telephone and published on the Sydney Opera House website and the Tourism Australia website on 10th December 2010.

7. The first 4 valid entries drawn will win 2 tickets to The Oprah Winfrey Show filming at Sydney Opera House on Tuesday 14th December 2010.

8. You may only enter the competition once on Sydney Opera House facebook page and once on Tourism Australia facebook page. The promoter reserves the right to disqualify any incomplete or automated entries. Multiple entries from the same IP address, same email address or from automated competition entry services are invalid.

9. Any change in the prize occurring between the publishing of these Conditions and the date the prize is claimed is not the responsibility of the promoter.

10. Collection/distribution of the prize will be arranged by telephone.

11. Any associated travel expenses including but not limited to: airport departure taxes, fuel and security surcharges, hotels, airport transfers, meals, spending money and visas are the responsibility of the prize winner. They are not included in the prize.

12. If the promoter has been unsuccessful in contacting any of the winners by midday Monday 13th December, the winner will forfeit the prize and the promoter will select another winner from the valid entries.

13. The promoter’s decision in relation to any aspects of the competition is final and binding on every person who enters and no correspondence will be entered into.

14. The promoter shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to direct or consequential loss) or for any personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with any other prize/s except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.

15. The promoter and its associated agencies, and companies associated with this promotion will take no responsibility for prizes damaged or lost in transit.

16. In the event that for any reason whatsoever a winner does not take the prize then that element of the prize will be forfeited by the winner and cash will not be awarded in lieu of that element of the Prize.

17. If for any reason this promotion is not capable of running as planned, including due to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the promoter, which corrupt or affect the administration security, fairness or integrity or proper conduct of this promotion, the promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process.

18. In the case of the intervention of any outside agent or event which naturally changes the result or prevents or hinders its determination, including but not limited to vandalism, power failures, tempests, natural disasters, acts of God, civil unrest, strikes; the promoter may in its absolute discretion cancel the event and recommence it from the start on the same conditions subject to State Regulation.
