Sleek Geeks is popular science at its best.

Sleek Geeks is a quirky, entertaining and in-your-face science show, presented by Australia’s favourite geeks, Dr Karl Kruszelnicki and Adam Spencer.

It’s science for the whole family – with a twist. Can you pick up a car using rope made of human hair? How can you lie on a bed of nails? See Adam and Karl walk on liquid.

Karl and Adam explore themes and answer the curly questions that plague our lives. Being a Superhuman, Big Mouth, The Apocalypse, Eating, Colour and Weeing.

Across the series, Karl and Adam explore some classic Geek Questions: Are microwaves carcinogenic? Do black cars get hotter than white? If you’ve got a helium balloon in a car, why does it go forwards when you brake? How much exercise is needed to burn off the energy in a pizza?

Ruben Meerman, the Surfing Scientist, joins the Geeks with demonstrations that more often than not, means blowing things up. We test the perception of the audience members with the Rank-o-meter on age-old questions like: What takes the most energy? Sex, Vigorous Arts & Crafts, Tai Chi or Butchering Animals?

Making special appearances through the series are Claudia Karvan, Art v Science, Rhys Muldoon and Benita Collings and in a Sleek Geek exclusive, a coalition of performers come together to sing the future anthem Wee Across the World.
