Armin van Buuren, the world’s #1 DJ, has been actively using a new mobile app, Flowd, to talk directly to his fans.
Flowd is a free location-based mobile app that allows fans to directly interact with their favourite music acts, and is available on iPhone and Android smartphones.
Flowd facilitates two-way conversation between music acts and their fans, bringing them closer together than ever before. Music acts can keep their supporters up-to-date with their latest news, views, tours and appearances, and offer them special rewards for their loyalty.
Fans will have their voices heard and be rewarded for their activities on Flowd, earning loyalty points to receive exclusive access to merchandise and content from their favourite music acts. A brand new Flowd Events feature is now available as a free update to the application on the iTunes App Store and Android Market.
A brand new feature has just launched that allows users to “check-in” to live shows and events to receive exclusive news, and be rewarded for their attendance.
Armin is one of the first artists to use and promote his gigs in Flowd Events, and he talks directly with his supporters in the dance, trance and electronica music scene.
He will be performing his “Armin Only” tour on 31st December at the Etihad Stadium in Melbourne and would like to invite his top fans to get even closer to him at the show.
By checking into any of the upcoming Armin shows, fans will be automatically entered into a contest for a chance to win a VIP package to the next Armin van Buuren show in Australia – A State of Trance 500 in Sydney in April 2011.
