Win tickets to Cold War Kids sideshows

We have tickets to giveaway for both Melbourne and Sydney shows

 closes: Sunday, January 2
Cold War Kids will be performing two exclusive sideshows in January - in Melbourne and Sydney.

The Cold War Kids' Australian jaunt starts in Tasmania on Thursday 30 December, at Falls Festival in Marion Bay. They then head to Lorne's Falls Festival to take in New Years Eve on Friday 31 December. Their first gig of 2011 will take place in Margaret River on the Southbound stage on Sunday 2 January, before heading to Melbourne for the first of their side shows, at The Forum Theatre on Tuesday 4 January. After performing to a Brisbane crowd on Wednesday 5 January at Sunset Sounds, they will wrap the tour up with the second of their side shows on Thursday 6 January at Sydney's Enmore.

After forming in Long Beach in 2004 and immediately generating feverish blog buzz Cold War Kids signed quickly to label Downtown Records (the home of Gnarls Barkley and Art Brut). They then hit the road for the better part of two years honing their live show all over the world. A spectacle to say the least a Cold War Kids performance could include anything from gigantic crowd sing-a-longs to unique and mood driven lighting. Their latest EP, Behave Yourself, which features triple j hit Audience - sounds like some kind of twisted lost Motown groove is sure to set any crowd alight.

With debut album Robbers & Cowards in 2006, Cold War Kids became one of the hottest new bands around, with the tracks Hang Me Up To Dry and Hospital Beds being some of the most striking releases of recent years.

Tuesday 4 January - The Forum Theatre, Melbourne
Thursday 6 January - Enmore Theatre, Sydney
