NW – Win a Trip to Hawaii Competition
Terms & Conditions

1.Instructions on how to enter and prizes form part of these conditions of entry. Participation in this promotion is deemed acceptance of these conditions of entry.
2.The promotion is open to all residents of Australia and New Zealand. Employees of the Promoter and their immediate families and agencies associated with this promotion are ineligible to enter.
3.The promotion commences 20th December 2010 and closes last mail received 16th January 2011. The judging will take place at the Promoter’s premises and will begin on 18th January, 2011. The winner will be notified by phone or email using contact details provided in their entry. This is a game of skill and chance plays no part in determining the winners. Each entry will be individually judged based on literary and creative merit.
4.Participants may enter the promotion as follows: email nwpromotions@acpmagazines.com.au with your name, phone number and address details and tell us in 25 words or less “why do you think Hawaii is a killer destination?”
5.The best entry as determined by the judges will win the major prize. Prize includes return flights for two people to Hawaii flying Hawaiian Airlines, Lei meet and greet on arrival, Five nights accommodation at the Waikiki Beach Marriott Resort & Spa in a city view room, Waikele Centre and Premium Outlets shopping tour, Return airport transfers, A Royal Sunset Dinner Cruise, $1000 spending money and a copy of Killers on DVD and Blu-ray. Twenty runners up will receive a copy of Killers on DVD and Blu-ray. Total prize value is $8857.90 (based on a Sydney departure). The winner and their travelling companion must travel on the same flight. The winner must be 18 years and over. If the winner is under the age of 18 years, the prize will be awarded to the legal parent / guardian. Unless expressly stated in these terms and conditions all other expenses become the responsibility of the winner. The winner (and their companion) are responsible for all expenses including but not limited to spending money (other than that specified), transfers, meals (other than that specified), drinks (other than that specified), incidentals, mini-bar, laundry, room service, telephone calls, activities, insurance, taxes (including departure taxes), energy surcharges, gratuities, services charges, passports, visas, credit card fees, travel insurance and all other ancillary costs. A credit card imprint or cash deposit may be required from the winner at check-in to the hotel, for all incidental charges. The major prize is valid for two people and the winner and their travelling companion must be available to travel between 1st February – 16th June or 18th July – 9th December 2011. Blackout dates: 17th June – 17th July 2011. Prize must be booked & redeemed on or before 31st March 2011. The winner must provide Creative Holidays with a minimum of 21 days advance notice of intention to travel. Flights and accommodation are subject to availability at the time of booking, are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for other destinations. The accommodation package is based on twin share. If the winner and their travelling companion wish to extend their trip they will be able to do so at their own expense. 'Top up' of the prize is allowed, where the purchase of additional travel products and services from Creative Holidays is added to the prize. This will be at full retail cost to the winner. Creative Holidays strongly recommends travel insurance valid for the entire duration of the holiday, to protect against the additional costs incurred in the event of unforeseen circumstances. Embargo restrictions apply during certain periods. All elements are subject to availability at time of booking. Any alterations to confirmed flights and/or accommodation details will be at the expense of the winner.
6.Prize value is based upon the recommended retail prices. The promoter accepts no responsibility for any change in prize value between now and the ultimate travel date. Prices may fluctuate due to changes in charges, taxes and currency & will be passed onto Kabuku Public Relations. The winner is not entitled to receive any money from any party if there is a difference between the maximum prize value and the actual prize value at the time of the draw. All prizes are valued in Australian dollars.
7.The prize is non transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash. All aspects of the prize must be taken as stated above. Prize can not be used in conjunction with any other discounts or special offers.
8.Entries not completed in accordance with the rules and conditions or received after the closing date will not be considered. Indecipherable or incomplete entries will be deemed invalid. The judge’s decision in relation to any aspect of the competition is final and binding on every person who enters. No correspondence will be entered into.
9.Where prize is awarded in the form of a voucher/letter/ticket/pass, the Promoter shall not be liable for any voucher/letter/ticket/pass that has been lost, stolen, forged, damaged or tampered with in any way. Redemption of voucher/letters/tickets/passes is subject to terms and conditions stipulated on voucher/letter/ticket/pass.
10.Any content the winner receives or accesses as part of the prize is strictly for their own personal, non-commercial and domestic purposes only and must not be copied, reproduced, sold, distributed or otherwise exploited or used in any other manner. In the event of war, terrorism, state of emergency or disaster, the Promoter reserves the right (subject to all relevant state and territory regulations) to either provide an alternative prize to the same value as the original prize or to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion.
11.Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, the Promoter (including their officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence) for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the Promotion, including, but not limited to, where arising out of the following: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter’s control); (b) any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; (c) any entry or prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; (d) any variation in prize value to that stated in these conditions of entry; (e) any tax liability incurred by a winner or entrant; (f) participation in the promotion and/or (g) redemption of a prize.
12.If for any reason this competition is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the promoter which corrupt or affect the administration security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this competition, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law, to (a) disqualify any entrant; and/or (b) subject to any written direction given by a regulatory authority, to modify, suspend, cancel or terminate the promotion, as appropriate. The Promoter assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to, or alteration of entries. By entering the promotion, the entrant consents to receipt of any email regarding the promotion, from the Promoters and other emails which inform the entrant of the Promoter’s other publications, products, services and events and to promote third party goods and services it may be interested in
13.All entries become the property of the Promoter. The collection, use and disclosure of personal information provided in connection with this competition is governed by the Privacy Notice (see contents page for location in this issue)
14.By entering the competition, the entrant consents to receipt of any email regarding the competition, and other emails which inform the entrant of the Promoter’s other publications, products, services and events and to promote third party goods and services it may be interested in.
