ANCIENT DISCOVERIES: SHIPS, WEAPONS AND STRUCTURES DVD GIVEAWAY

Magna Home Entertainment / Region 4 / Released January 2011

Fabulous History Channel show Ancient Discoveries gets a new DVD release this month in the shape of the two disc set Ships, Weapons and Structures and to celebrate we have five copies to give away!

What many of us forget when thinking about famous historical battles is how complex some of their weaponary and technologies were, Ancient Discoveries though takes us back to the actual sites of where many famous battles actually took place and using a mixture of physical reconstruction and top flight computer animations brings the past to life. There are also contributions from archaelogical experts.

From mighty warships that can hold 7000 men to the moving wooden fort known as the Helepolis and from Greek Fire to the way Archimedes used solar power in the war against the Romans. Ancient Discoveries is a staggeringly good series that not only informs but also blows your mind with how advanced our ancestors really were. Makes you wonder where it all went wrong really!

Our competition runs until January 31, 2011. To be in with a chance to win one of five copies of Ancient Discoveries: Ships, Weapons and Structures all you have to do is tell us what year the first episode of Ancient Discoveries aired? Also don’t forget about our rather splendid daily newsletter. If you haven’t signed up for this yet then what are you waiting for, a daily hit of all the latest stories, comps, reviews, features and news happening in the world of Memorable TV.

Entries must be sent to competition@memorabletv.com and must be titled “Ancient Discoveries”. Good Luck!
