2. Entry is open to residents of Australia aged 18 years and over. Directors or employees of the promoter or their immediate families, and third parties associated with this competition are not eligible to enter.
3. The competition commences 20 January 2011 at 5:30 pm WST and closes 11 March 2011 at 5:00 pm WST (Promotional Period). The prize will be drawn on 11 March 2011 at 5:30 pm WST at Best Flights, 299 Vincent Street, Leederville WA 6007. The prize will be awarded at the promoter’s discretion.
4. Eligible participants can enter one time only by:
1. subscribing to the FREE Best Flights e-newsletter in either .html or plain .txt formats and remaining subscribed at the time of the competition draw which will be held on 11 March 2011 at 5:30 pm WST, and also remaining subscribed at the time of the competition redraw if a redraw occurs in accordance with these terms and conditions of entry. All necessary information to allow an entrant’s subscription must be completed via

2. “Liking” Best Flights on Facebook at
http://www.facebook.com/pages/Best-Flights/ 108035992558421 during the Promotional Period (participants must be logged in to Facebook for this link to work.)
5. Incomplete or unintelligible subscriptions will be deemed invalid and will be excluded. The promoter accepts no responsibility for late, lost or misdirected subscriptions.
6. The draw is conducted electronically by a computer program, which randomly selects an email address from the list of subscribers held in a MySQL database table, which is then displayed to the promoter in their online competition administration interface. The promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
7. The promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any entrant who appears to have tampered with the entry process, who participates in a manner not in accordance with these terms and conditions of entry or who has, in the opinion of the promoter, engaged in conduct which is or may be fraudulent, misleading, deceptive or damaging to the goodwill or reputation of the promoter.
8. The winner will be notified in writing and their name will be published at
http://www.bestflights.com.au/flight-travel- newsletter/newsletter-competitions and at the Facebook Best Flight’s fan page on 12 March 2011.
9. After the winner has claimed their prize, the prize will be delivered to the winner in accordance with relevant State or Territory regulations.
10. If the prize is unclaimed by 11 June 2011, a redraw will occur on this day at the same time and place as the first draw. In the event of a redraw occurring, the winner will be notified and advertised as described above on 12 June 2011.
11. There is 1 prize to be won, consisting of:
1. 2 x adult economy class return tickets to Bangkok, Thailand with Thai International Airways, departing from Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane or Perth;
2. 2 nights accommodation at the Pathumwan Princess, Bangkok;
3. 2 x adult economy class return tickets to Phuket, Thailand with Thai International Airways, departing from Bangkok, Thailand; and
4. 5 nights accommodation at the Moevenpick Resort, Phuket
Value: AUD $2,000 per person exclusive of airport taxes
12. The total prize pool is valued at AUD $4,000. Prize values are the recommended retail value as provided by the supplier and are correct at the time of printing. The promoter is not responsible or liable for any change in the value of the prize occurring between the date of publishing these terms and conditions and the date the prize is claimed.
13. Travel using the prize tickets must be booked through the promoter prior to 1 May 2011 (unless the winner is selected via a redraw pursuant to Clause 10, in which case the tickets must be booked through the promoter prior to 1 July 2011), and travel using the prize must be completed by 31 October 2011. If the prize winner fails to comply with these conditions for whatever reason, the winner will forfeit the prize in whole and no substitute or cash will be offered in lieu of the prize. Both passengers must travel on the same flights.
14. All out of pocket expenses, additional or alternate accommodation, spending money, meals, Airport Taxes, insurance, passports, visas, excess baggage charges, transport to and from the departure point, transfers not expressly stated to be included in the prize, and all other ancillary costs are the sole responsibility of the winner. In this clause “Airport Taxes” refers to any taxes and/or other charges imposed by an Australian and/or foreign government department and/or authority on departing or arriving passengers.
15. Prize components are subject to availability and prize redemption restrictions.
16. The promoter recommends that the winner take out travel insurance to cover the travel associated with this prize. The promoter accepts no responsibility for any tax implications that may arise from winning the prize. Independent advice should be sought.
17. The prize (and any unused portion of the prize or component of the prize) is not transferable, negotiable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash.
18. The promoter is not liable for the cancellation or duration of all or any part of the prize for any reason. The promoter reserves the right to change the prize or any part of the prize at any time if a prize or part of the prize becomes unavailable, subject to State and Territory regulations.
19. All entries become the property of the promoter. The collection, use and disclosure of personal information provided in connection with this competition are governed by the National Privacy Principles. For our privacy policy, go to

20. The promoter may use or disclose an entrant’s personal information, such as name, address and other information for marketing and consumer research purposes.
21. By entering this competition, each entrant accepts full responsibility for the decision to participate in the competition and prize should they be drawn as the winner. The winner releases the promoter, its related bodies corporate, affiliates, officers, agents, employees and suppliers from all liability for any loss and/or damage whatsoever (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for any personal injury (including but not limited to death) suffered or sustained in connection with the acceptance of, and participation in, the prize or any part thereof, except for liability which can not be excluded by law.
22. If for any reason this competition is not capable of running as planned, including due to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failure or any other cause beyond the control of the promoter which corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness or integrity or proper conduct of this competition the promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition, subject to any written directions of any relevant authorities.
23. All entrants consent that the promoter may use the entrant’s name, likeness, image and/or voice in the event they are a winner (and including photograph, film and any recordings) in any media for an unlimited period of time without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this competition (including any outcome) and promoting any products manufactured, distributed or supplied by the promoter.
24. The promoter reserves the right to request the winner to provide proof of identity, age and/or residency at the nominated prize delivery address in order to claim the prize. Identification considered suitable for verification is at the discretion of the promoter. In the event that the winner can not provide suitable proof, the winner will forfeit the prize in whole and no substitute or cash will be offered in lieu.
