Safe community forum slogan entry
The Bendigo Safe Community Forum is a collaborative partnership between local agencies that play a pivotal role in the safey of our community. The Forum includes representatives from the City of Greater Bendigo, State Government, Victoria Police, Liquor Licensing Commission, Australian Hoteliers Association, Nightclubs/Hotels, Bendigo Student Association, Bendigo Traders Association Inc and the community. The Chair of the Forum is Sue Clarke, CEO of Bendigo Community Health Services.

Safe community forum is trying to establish a slogan for regular features in the media (newspapers and radio).

The purpose of the media articles are to promote Bendigo as a safe place to live and provide information to the community about staying safe. Examples of work of the forum include:

•Reducing Alcohol Related Harm
•Minimising harm related to illicit Drug Use
•Supporting the developing of safer infrastructure and environments (e.g. street lighting)
•Reducing assaults and damages on weekends
•Creating Community Connections
•Preventing Violence and Abuse in the Home
•Promoting a sense of Community
The slogan would need to be relevant for all age groups in the community and reflect the work of the forum.

The selected slogan which will be determined by members of the SCF. Entries would need to be received by the 1st of February 2011.
$50 to be given to the creater of the selected slogan.
