It's a little taboo to mention Canada lagging behind the US in terms of being a developed nation, what with their socialised medicine and air of quietly affluent niceness but, holy xxx, Holy xxx don't even have a sequencer. Somebody get these Torontonians a Logic rig post-haste. Though maybe they'd be more comfortable just catching up to 1979 and rocking a Fairlight CMI. Digital inadequacy aside, there's no denying the talent required to create their particular brand of controlled chaos with just drums, bass and a few tables of kids' toys and effects pedals, much less creating three albums and a hypodermic right into the zeitgeist's carotid artery. - KD
