6-Week Survivor Challenge
Monday February 7th 2011 â Saturday March 19th 2011
Two teams to fight it out through weekly challenges to become the âUltimate Survivor Teamâ
Become part of this 6 week challenge and not only will you become fitter, stronger and slimmer, you will also help raise money for CanTeen, a charitable organisation that supports young people aged 12-24 who are living with cancer.
Two teams will be randomly divided by the centre team leaders who will put you in either the âGreen Teamâ or the âPurple Teamâ. Each survivor will receive a team bandana in their team colour.
The âSurvivorâ who loses the highest percentage of weight during the challenge will win the coveted title of âUltimate Survivorâ for the centre. The centre âUltimate Survivorsâ will then go in the draw for the âNational Ultimate Survivorâ Grand prize of an island holiday for 2 valued at $2,000.
How the Survivor Challenge works:
1.Each survivor must register and pay a $10 enrolment fee before Monday January 31st.
2.Have your beginning weight recorded.
3.Have a âsurvivor photoâ taken.
4.Each survivor must complete regular circuits 3 times a week.
5.As a Survivor, you will earn points for your team by doing the weekly Immunity Challenges as set out below. This will help to increase your fitness and contribute to your teamâs chances of winning that weekâs Immunity Challenge.
6.On each challenge exercise, each repetition equals 1 point for your team. For example â if a survivor does 15 reps in one minute, they score 15 points for their team. You will be encouraged to do the weekly challenge three times in each week to maximise the points that you contribute to your team.
7.Each team will have an immunity challenge scoresheet, which will be managed by your team leader who will keep it private.
a) As a Survivor simply report to the team leader your points as you complete the immunity challenges for the week.
b) At the end of the week each teamsâ points are totalled by the team leaders. On Monday morning the results for each team (for the previous week) are posted on the Survivor Board and the team with the most points that week wins âImmunityâ.
c) The weekâs winning team can then bring in paraphernalia to decorate the teamâs totem pole. This will be a fun way of letting everyone know which team won for that week.
8.At the end of the 6th week, you will be re-weighed and the percentage weight loss will be calculated.
