Australia's award-winning comedy/music trio Tripod are back in Perth to play a host of shows at The Astor Theatre from 15-20 February, 2011. Enter now to win one of five double passes.

Bringing with them their trademark blend of gorgeous harmonies and dysfunctional relationships, the guys prepare to embark on yet another epic journey: travelling to Perth with their brand new musical 'Tripod versus the Dragon'.

Centering around a group of friends who get together to play Dungeons and Dragons, the audience is drawn into their fantasy world where it is the dawn of time and the trio must travel on a quest to reach the Tree of Knowledge but first they have to get by the tree’s protector; a scary evil dragon.

Combining classic old-school character comedy and a bunch of great songs, 'Tripod versus the Dragon' references classic opera, the bible as well as the other bible: the Dungeons & Dragons Player’s Handbook. The musical has plenty of twist and turns and plenty of laughs.

Scod and Yon play two nerds and for those not familiar with Dungeons & Dragons; never fear, neither is Gatesy who plays the D & D newbie, asking all the questions the crowd members are thinking.
Thrown into the mix is special guest cast member, Elana Stone in the form of a small and feisty dungeonmaster / love interest / dragon and excellent singer. This musical is unlike any seen before. The boys will bring you on a hilarious lo-fi retelling of a grand tale of love, ambition, greed and tragedy that will have everyone from diehard Dungeons and Dragons fans to those who have never even heard of it laughing right through to the end.
Directed by Neill Gladwin.
