Objective of the competition.
The promotion is a photographic competition open to Australian professional lighting designers, employed by a current lighting/electrical design practice with a registered Australian ABN, subject to the following guidelines.
How is it being judged.
The photograph should ideally be taken at dusk or night time and should showcase the buildings architectural features and the impact the Pierlite lighting product/s has contributed to the environmental ambience and or functionality of the installation. The image specification should be a minimum of 8 megapixel resolution and no greater than 10 MB.
What are the prizes?
Prizes - a total of nine (9) prizes will be awarded;
Monthly prizes - a total of eight (
Canon (550D & Tamron 18-200mm lens kit or available equivalent) camera prizes will be awarded, being one (1) per month of the competition, namely September, October, November 2010 and February, March, April, May and June 2011.
Major prize – a total of one (1) major prize will be awarded at the close of the competition. Using the eight prior “monthly” winners, the major prize will be awarded to the best photograph of the finalists with the winner being awarded a return economy airfare for one (1) adult to Milan (city), Italy and accommodation (4 star hotel equivalent) for a total of five (5) nights. The prize excludes insurance, any auxiliary travel and transfer expenses. Travel must be completed by 31st December 2011.

1. Operator - Pierlite Australia Pty Ltd ABN 71 115 184 999.
2. Eligible participants - The promotion is a photographic competition open to Australian professional lighting designers, employed by a current lighting/electrical design practice with a registered Australian ABN, subject to the (11) guidelines as follows.
3. Participant exclusions - Employees or relatives of Gerard Lighting Group are not eligible to participate.
4. Eligible product - third party product photography is excluded from consideration, only Pierlite Australia and authorized Pierlite agency products & associated building structure photography will be accepted.
5. Competition judge - Pierlite Australia 96 Gow Street Padstow NSW 2211; no further correspondence will be entered into once the competition results are posted on the Pierlite web site - “news” section, within 10 days from the close of the prior month.
6. Competition term - commence 1st September 2010 and concludes 30th June 2011.
7. Objective of competition - Pierlite Australia invite eligible participants to submit a photograph together with up to 200 word overview of an Australian lighting installation where the designer has selected and installed Pierlite Australia lighting equipment no earlier than
1st February 2009. The photograph should ideally be photographed at dusk or night time and should showcase the buildings architectural features and the impact the Pierlite Lighting product has contributed to the environmental ambience and or functionality of the
installation. The image specification should be a minimum of 8 megapixel resolution and no greater than 10 MB.
8. Copyright - Photographs submitted must be free from copyright infringement, be authorized to submit a proposal and upon submission of the photograph the participant must confirm acceptance of the use of the image by Pierlite Australia for the purpose of the
competition promotion and ongoing use in associated Pierlite catalogues, web site and promotion media.
