Contributing to the film's mood is the soundtrack which was largely composed by director Vishal Bhardwaj with lyrics penned by Gulzar. The duo has previously teamed up on a number of other films (Kaminey, Ishquiya) to critical acclaim. The soundtrack to Saat Khoon Maaf features a couple of definite hits, particularly in the form of the vivacious ‘Darling' as well as more poignant and emotional numbers.
