becs@caff.net.au1.Caffeinated Adventures – In keeping with the origins of CAFF, this is the adrenaline films section of the competition! Under 6 minutes (including titles & credits) featuring adrenaline style adventure activities of any sort. There will be a $500 CASH prize for the best home grown (Queensland) film thanks to QORF and several other encouragement awards given at the discretion of CAFF.
2.Short Adventures in Nature – Under 10 minutes (including titles & credits) narrative style short films featuring adventures, journeys and explorations in nature. This can include sport based narratives, outdoor expeditions or travel docos. We aim to keep this category as green powered as possible with the focus being on the adventurer’s interaction with wilderness and the wonders it contains.
3.The People’s Choice Mad Minutes – these films will be judged on the CAFF You Tube channel during the month prior to CAFF 2011. They need to be between 30 seconds and 2 minutes long, edited with rapid action clips and pumping music. The winner will be the one that totally blows the voters away!! Mouth gaping shock factor is what we are going for here. Winners will be announced on the event night with hints of the top runners given along the way. This category is open to entries from all over the world.
4.Adventure Features – For the first time we are calling for feature length entries from Australasia, East and South-East Asia. These films will be over 20 minutes long and are under 90 minutes. The films can take a documentary or fictional narrative format as long as they feature adventurous activities. We have already had a great variety of great entries in this section.
5.Under 18′s – This year CAFF does not have a separate category for under 18’s but we welcome and encourage under18 filmmakers to enter any of the above categories. We will be awarding special prizes to the best Under 18 film makers. Please note that written parental consent is required to enter and you will need to indicate on your entries that you are Under 18

There are two ways you can enter CAFF 2011. We are trialling the world standard online film submission services of Without a Box. This is the world’s premier film festival submission medium and is a great way for film makers and festivals to link. When you are ready to submit your film please click on the link below. You can also use the simplified online submission form if you want a simpler method.

Entry fees : There are various entry fees depending on the category you enter and how early you submit your film! Please see the fees and submission dates in our CAFF Entry Guidelines.
