Entertaining Canadian ‘tec’ drama Republic Of Doyle gets its first season released on DVD this month and to celebrate we have copies up for grabs!
Jake Doyle (Allan Hawco) is a former cop now working as a private detective alongside his dad Malachy (played by Sean McGinley of The Commitments fame) in a small coastal town. Despite not always sticking rigidly to the letter of the law the duo always manages to solve the crime. Mind you Jake seems to have his hands full just juggling the women in his life.
Offering a solid mix of clever and funny dialogue and crime drama, Republic of Doyle is out of the same mould as a show like Northern Exposure.
The three disc set features every episode from the first season.
