Y series hybrid competition: terms and conditions
1. Information on ‘How to Enter’ and prizes form part of these Conditions of Entry.
2. Entry is open to all residents of Australia, except employees of the promoter, Pioneer Hi-Bred Australia Ltd and their immediate families and employees/families of agencies associated with this Promotion.
3. The promotion commences 8.00 am Wednesday December 1, 2010 and final entries close at 5.00 pm Wednesday June 1 2011. The draw will take place at Pioneer Hi-Bred Australia, 204 Wyreema Road, Toowoomba, Queensland at 9.00 am Friday June 3, 2011. The winner will be notified by telephone using contact details provided in their entry, which will be confirmed by mail. Subject to all the requirements under any relevant state and territory regulations there will be an unclaimed prize draw at 9.00 am on Wednesday June 15, 2011 for all prizes unclaimed on this date. The details of the South Australian winner will be published in the South Australian Stock Journal on June 26, 2011.
4. To enter participants must be a member of Club Pioneer and purchase at least one bag of Pioneer® brand hybrid canola seed. Members must send proof of purchase being a copy of invoice(s) of Pioneer® brand canola hybrid seed to Pioneer Hi-Bred Australia, LMB 9001, Toowoomba, QLD 4350.
5. Entries not completed in accordance with the conditions of entry or received after close of entry will not be considered. Incomplete entries will be disregarded. The promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and reserves the right to disqualify any entrant for tampering with the entry process. The judge’s decision in relation to any aspect of the promotion is final and binding on every person who enters. No correspondence will be entered into.
6. The winners of the promotion will be determined by one randomly-drawn entry by the promoter at 9.00 am on Friday June 3, 2011. The winner will receive an economy class return flight from the capital city in their state to Vancouver Canada, a one-week tour of Pioneer Hi-Bred’s Canadian canola operation (itinerary to be determined by the promoter) and all transport, accommodation and meals during the tour.
7. The prize package is valued at $10,000.
8. The prize is non-transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash.
9. It is a condition of accepting the prize that the winner may be requested to present their credit card upon arrival at all hotels to cover all incidentals they may incur including their stay at the hotel. If the prize winner is under the age of 18 years, the prize will be awarded to the winner’s parent or legal guardian and the participant must be accompanied by their parent or guardian at the winner’s expense.
10. In the event of war, terrorism, state of emergency or disaster the promoter reserves the right (subject to reference to all relevant state and territory regulations), to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion.
11. Prize winners are advised that tax implications may arise from their prize winnings and they should seek independent financial advice prior to acceptance of their prize.
12. All prizes must be taken as offered. The prize, or any unused portion of the prize, is not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash. The promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in the prize value. In the event that a portion of the prize is awarded to the winner in the form of a voucher/ticket/pass, redemption of that portion of the prize will be subject to the terms and conditions stipulated on the voucher/ ticket/ pass. The promoter will not be liable for any voucher/ticket/pass that has been lost, stolen, forged, damaged or tampered with in any way.
13. All entries become the property of the promoter. The collection, use and disclosure of personal information in connection with this promotion are governed by the promoter’s privacy notice available from Pioneer Hi-Bred Australia and these conditions of entry.
14. The promoter may use information it collects in relation to you to provide you with information regarding further offers, promotions or goods and services provided by the promoter. The promoter may also disclose information about you to its service providers to enable the promoter to provide you with services. You consent to the promoter’s use and disclosure of information about you as contemplated by this paragraph.
