Tom Conti is one of Britain’s most underrated actors and he takes centre stage in the excellent
crime drama series DNA aka DoNovAn. The complete series is released on DVD this month and we have five copies to give away!
Conti plays former police forensic scientist turned popular author Joe Donovan who initially finds himself the chief suspect in a murder case and later is drafted back into crime solving duty.
It’s a nicely moody series mixing in elements of a show like Silent Witness with the more pure crime of Lewis. The excellent cast also includes Samantha Bond, Ryan Cartwright and Indira Varma. Made in the early 2000’s for ITV, DNA is the kind of high quality ‘tec’ series that leaves you regretting the fact that only two series were made.
