TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. Information on how to enter forms part of the terms of entry. Entry into the competition is deemed
acceptance of these terms and conditions.
2. Entry is open only to all junior artists between the ages of 5years and 15 years and residents of
Australia. However, employees of Ipswich Events Corporation, Riverlink Shopping Centre Management, Harvey Norman Ipswich and Busy Beat, Ipswich and their immediate families are not eligible to enter. The term „Immediate family‟ includes parents, spouse, children and siblings. Parental approval for minors will be required on the day.
3. The Junior Talent Quest competition commences on Wednesday 6th July 2011 at 10am (AEST) and concludes on Friday 8th July, 2011 when final winners have been announced following the „Finals‟
commencing 11am.
4. To enter, participants must register their name, address, age and details of entry by phone with Riverlink Shopping Centre management 3294 5500 (Heat One) or Ipswich Events Corporation 3812 2974 (Heat Two) no later than entry deadline 4 pm Tuesday 28th June 2011. Heat One of the competition will be held at Riverlink Shopping Centre 6th July, 2011 from 10am; Heat Two held at the Rotunda in Ipswich City Mall 7th July 2011 from 10am and Finals will be held at the Rotunda in Ipswich City Mall on Friday 8th July, 2011. Thirty (30) competitors will be allotted in each Heat and Bookings are essential. Should entries
exceed 30 per heat during 6 & 7th July 2011, the Promoter and its Partners reserve the right to consider an additional day of Heats. Entrants acknowledge they will not be entitled to any fee for their
performances.
5. Registered entrants into the competition must report to the Talent Quest organisers half an hour before their scheduled Heat to present CD backing tracks and Parental Consent Form. No videos may be used as part of an act and singers must have vocals removed from the CD. Mark the CD very plainly i.e. Artist‟s name, Age division, CD Track # being used and Song Title. All guitarists must bring their own guitar cord.
6. Contestants can only be in one act as an adjudicated performer. Entry is free to singers, musicians, groups, and variety acts and performances cannot exceed a maximum of 3 minutes duration in the
following age groups: Tiny Tots: 5—6 yrs; Level 1: 7—9 years; Level 2: 10—12 years; Level 3: 13—15 years. Age as at 1st January. Proof of age may be requested. Prizes are awarded for First placed winner in each age group plus trophy.
7. “Promoter” means Ipswich Events Corporation, ABN 76 054 656 978 of Ipswich City Mall, Ipswich.
8. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and to disqualify any entry which, in the opinion of Promoter, tampers with the entry process, who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms & Conditions of Entry or who has, in the opinion of the Promoter, engaged in conduct in
entering the Promotion which is fraudulent, misleading, deceptive or generally damaging to the goodwill or reputation of the Promotion and/or Promoter.
9.The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify a winner if Promoter becomes aware that the winner
and/or the winner‟s entry is of a type described in this clause.
10.The Promoter reserves the right to refuse an entry it believes is unacceptable and/or offensive in
nature, or deemed dangerous to the entrant, the organisers and its partners, or the general public.
11. Entries must be registered by phone by 4pm Tuesday 28 June 2011. The Promoter accepts no
responsibility for any late or misdirected entries. Judging will be based on the following criteria—individuality, creativity, talent, costume, technique, execution, music synchronisation and stage
presence.
12. Four first prizes plus Trophies are to be given away. Prize details:- iPod Touch 8GB, Wii U-Sing 2
Australia Edition, Sennheiser Headsets, Busy Beat Studio Recording Time, and Ipswich Central Gift Vouchers. Judges reserve the right to announce two optional „Encouragement Awards” at their discretion. TOTAL PRIZE POOL VALUE: $1,286.90.
13. Prizes cannot be transferred or be redeemed for cash.

14. If the prize is unavailable, for whatever reason, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize for a prize of equal value, subject to State Regulation.
15. The Promoter takes no responsibility for Gift Voucher prizes damaged or lost by recipients.
16. It is a condition of accepting the prize that the winner must comply with all the conditions of use of the prize and the prize supplier‟s requirements.
17. In consideration for the Promoter awarding the prize to the winner, the winner hereby assigns to the Promoter all right, title and interest in and to all intellectual property rights, including copyright in any
material created pursuant to the winner‟s participation in any aspect of the prize. The winners
acknowledge that the Promoter is free to use and to exercise its rights in relation thereto and the winner will not be entitled to any fee for such use.
18. In consideration for the Promoter awarding the prize to the winner, the winner hereby permits the
winner‟s image to be photographed for advertising or marketing thereof, in such manner as the Promoter, in its absolute discretion deems fit, in any media and the winner will not be entitled to any fee for such use.
19. Prize values are based upon the value of Gift Vouchers and donated prizes by the promoter and
sponsors at the time of printing (inclusive of GST). The promoter accepts no responsibility for change in prize value between now and the ultimate prize redemption date.
20. Should an entrant‟s contact details change during the promotional period, it is the entrant's
responsibility to notify the Promoter.
21.A request to access or modify any information provided in an entry should be directed to Promoter in writing.
22. Winners will be announced following judging at the Finals competition Friday 8th July 2011.

The Promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the Promotion or the rules without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or other event outside the Promoter‟s reasonable control, for such reasons as it, in its absolute discretion deems fit for any purpose that the Promoter deems will enhance the
competition and benefit entrants. Any changes will be posted either within these terms of conditions or the competition or promotion notice.
23. In the event of any dispute regarding the rules, conduct, results and all other matters relating to the promotion the decision of the Judges shall be final and no correspondence or discussion shall be entered into.
24. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entrant if it has reasonable grounds to believe that the entrant has breached any of the rules, has tampered with the entry process or has engaged in conduct in entering the competition that is fraudulent, misleading, deceptive or generally damaging to the goodwill and/or reputation of the Promotion, the Promoter or Ipswich Central Traders. The Promoter reserves this right despite an entrant having been announced as a winner.
25. By entering into the competition, you hereby warrant that all information submitted by you is true,
current and complete.
26. In consideration for the Promoter awarding a prize to a winner, the winner hereby permits the winner to be photographed for advertising or marketing purposes associated with the competition, in any media, and the winner will not be entitled to any fee for such use.
27. The Promoter shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to any indirect or consequential loss) or for any personal injury suffered or sustained by reason of the happening of any event associated with any aspect of the competition, except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law.
28. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, defect, theft or destruction or alteration of entries, howsoever caused.
29. All entries become the property of the Promoter. While personal information about you is collected for the purposes of enabling you to participate in the competition no further use of this information will be made without your prior consent.

In this Waiver, Release and Acknowledgement Form “the Promoter” means and includes all affiliated entities; servants or agents of the Ipswich Events Corporation, all employees and all members of Ipswich Events Corporation and/or all affiliated
entities.
By participating in the Event:
1. I acknowledge that it is a condition of participating in the Event that I do so at my own risk. I accept all risks and release the Ipswich Events from all claims, demands and proceedings arising out of or connected with my participation in the Event and I indemnify them against all liability for any injury, loss or damage arising out of or connected with my
2. participation in the Event. This release continues forever and binds all of my heirs, successors, executors, personal repre-sentatives and assigns.

I acknowledge that it is a condition of participating in the Junior Talent Quest that Ipswich Events Corporation and any person or body directly or indirectly associated with the Event are absolved from all liability arising for injury or damage to myself or my property howsoever caused arising out of my participation in the Event whatsoever whether due to any negligent act, breach of duty, default and/or omission on the part of the Promoter and any person or body directly or indirectly associated with the Event, or otherwise.
3. I acknowledge and accept all risks necessarily flowing from participating in the Event.
4. I acknowledge that Ipswich Events Corporation relies on the information provided by me and state that all such information is accurate and complete.
5. I warrant that I am physically fit to participate in the Event and that I have not been advised otherwise by a
qualified medical practitioner. I acknowledge that I must disclose any pre-existing medical or other condition that may affect the risk that either myself, or any other person will suffer injury, loss or damage.
6. I consent to receiving any medical treatment including ambulance transportation that the Promoter and any person or body directly associated with the Event think desirable as required during the event.
7. I acknowledge that it is a condition of participating in the Event that I follow the instructions of Ipswich Events Corporation and any person or body directly or indirectly associated with the Event at all times. I indemnify and keep indemnified Ipswich Events Corporation and any person or body directly or indirectly associated with the Event from all claims, demands and proceedings arising out of or connected with a failure by me to comply with rules and/or directions given to me by the Promoter and any
person or body directly or indirectly associated with the Event.
If you are under the age of 18 years on the Event Day your parent or guardian must sign this declaration.
I certify that I am the parent/guardian of ___________________________ who will be ________ years of age on the day of the Event and that he/she has trained for and has my consent to participate in the Event. I testify that I have read the above and acknowledge acceptance of the stated conditions on behalf of the minor specified above.
In consideration of the facilities provided to us, I myself, my executors, administrators and assigns and for the child/children/under age person/s (if applicable) hereby indemnify and save harmless Ipswich Events Corporation and any person directly or indirectly associated with the Event from all claims, demands and proceedings arising out of or connected with participation in the Event that I or the child/children/under age person/s may suffer or sustain.
