One time a friend and I went to a DFA1979 show and it was exactly like we'd read about: it sort of went BEERS. LOUD. BLOOD. SUPERLOUD. BEERS. xxxINGCLAP and I had to gouge something out of my arm with a badge we got on entry. It was great how it lived into the myth. Then they broke up and everyone was like 'oh balls'.
THEN they reformed and started a riot at SXSW and now they're playing at Parklife and everyone's like 'Ummmmm I think I have to go'. The prospect of raging all day and getting a second chance to experience the DFA1979 myth is too good.
Plus there are the other aspects of the lineup: Blackberry ad model Diplo, Feed Me, French jam wizards Digitalism, Little Dragon, Lykke Li, loveable pervert Sebastien Tellier, The Naked & Famous and a zillion more. Pretty much everything is covered except Kanye and Bono.
