It's getting to that time of year when you can't go outside without blinking, wincing and crying. And not because of the anyarns you just chopped up for your lazarnya. It's because it's actually sunny outside. Enter Colab for your retinas.
Collaborators by nature as well as name, they've just released a new set of frames made in partnership with designer and Wooden Toy Quarterly founder Timba Smits. It's retro sci-fi: a homage to the imagined 'future' of the 2000s from a '50s point of view, which is totally Timba's thing as you can see from his lenscloth.
The two frame styles are called the 'X-Ray' (after a time when kids believed they could buy real x-ray glasses using mail order coupons in comics) and the 'Wooden Toy' (complete with etchings in Timba's '40s meets '50s meets '00s style).
As with all of Colab's frames, they've only made 1000 of each and they're now on sale here. Thanks to Colab, we have one pair of Timba's frames, worth $250, to give away. The winner gets to choose between the X-Ray and the Wooden Toy. To enter, just answer the following question
