HERALD SUN AFL GRAND FINAL TICKET PROMOTION
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. The promoter is The Herald & Weekly Times Pty Ltd (ABN 49 004 113 937) of
40 City Road Southbank, Victoria 3006.
2. Instructions on how to enter form part of the conditions of entry. Entry into
the competition is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions.
3. Entry is only open to residents of Victoria. Employees of the Promoter and
their immediate families, directors, management, related companies, and
their agencies associated with this promotion are ineligible. Immediate family
means any of the following: spouse, ex-spouse, de-facto spouse, child or
step-child (whether by natural or by adoption), parent, step-parent,
grandparent, step-grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, brother, sister,
step-brother, step-sister or first cousin.
4. To enter, readers must collect 5 original Front Page Mastheads from the
Herald Sun or the Sunday Herald Sun, dated from 12/9/11 to 27/9/11
inclusive, and mail them along with their name, address and phone number to
Grand Final Ticket Giveaway, PO Box 14605, Melbourne VIC 8001.
Photocopies of Mastheads will not be accepted.
5. Competition starts at 00.01am (AEST) on 12/09/2011 and closes at 6.00pm
(AEST) on 28/09/2011.
6. Multiple entries are accepted as long as each entry is supplied in separate
envelopes in accordance with the entry instructions. Each envelope
containing 5 mastheads will only be counted as 1 entry.
7. The time of entry will, in each case, be the time that the entry is received by
The Herald & Weekly Times Pty Ltd.
8. One (1) winner will be drawn daily from Monday September 19, 2011 to
Thursday September 29, 2011. There will be no draw on Wednesday
September 28, 2011 as that draw will take place on Thursday September 29,
to allow all entries received on 28th to be included. The draw will take place
at 12.00pm (AEST) each day at The Herald & Weekly Times, 40 City Rd,
Southbank VIC 3006. Winners’ will be notified by phone and mail.
9. Winners’ names and postcodes will be published in the Herald Sun public
notices section on Friday September 30.
10. There will be ten (10) winners drawn in total. Each winner will receive two (2)
general admission tickets to the 2011 Toyota AFL Grand Final at 2.30pm
(AEST) at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) on Saturday October 1, 2011.
Total prize pool valued at $3,400.
11. The prize is not exchangeable or transferable and cannot be taken as cash.
Prize must be taken at the time, date and location stipulated by the promoter.
Any additional charges, such as transport to and from the event or parking
are the responsibility of the winner. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for
any variation in the prize value.
12. The Promoter, their agents, affiliates or representatives will not be liable for
any late, lost or misdirected entries.
13. If the prize or any part of the prize becomes unavailable for reasons beyond
the Promoter’s control, the Promoter will endeavour but is not obliged to
provide a substitute prize of equivalent value.
14. The Promoter and their associated agencies and companies will take no
responsibility for the prize or entries being damaged or lost in transit, or late,
lost or misdirected mail.
15. To the full extent permitted by the law, The Herald & Weekly Times Pty Ltd
exclude liability for any loss, damage or injury whatsoever suffered or
sustained (including, but not limited to direct, indirect, special or
consequential loss or damage, loss of opportunity revenue or profit) arising
directly or indirectly out of or in connection with this promotion.
16. HWT collects entrants’ personal information in order to conduct the
promotion. If the information requested is not provided, the entrant may not
participate in the promotion. HWT may share entrants’ information with
persons or entities assisting in the conduct of the promotion and with
companies who are prize partners. HWT for publicity purposes may use the
name and if applicable, image of the winners and persons accompanying the
