Terms and conditions for the Avid Reader monthly competition.

U ON SUNDAY AVID READER MONTHLY PROMOTION

1. The “Avid Reader” monthly competition is open to Queensland residents 18 years and older only except employees of News Queensland, their families, agents or anyone else professionally associated with this competition.

2.All information detailing how to enter forms part of these terms and conditions. It is a condition of entry that all rules are accepted as final and that the competitor agrees to abide by these rules. Submissions will be taken to mean acceptance of these terms and conditions.

Submissions should be sent to ufood@thesundaymail.com.au and include your name, full address, telephone number and 50 words about your favourite restaurant


4.Submissions will be judged on which are the most original, interesting and entertaining and those deemed worthy will be published in U on Sunday magazine and entered into the draw for the monthly prize.

5.The judging panel will be comprised of representatives of U on Sunday magazine. The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence shall be entered into.
6.A winner will be drawn at random on the last Friday of every month (September 2011 – February 2012) from all published submissions during that month (September 2011 – February 2012).
7.Entries close on Wednesday February 15, 2012 and the final draw will take place on Friday February 24, 2012.
8.Copyright in all submissions to the competition remains with the respective entrants. However, in consideration of their providing the Competition, each entrant grants a worldwide, irrevocable, perpetual licence to News Queensland to feature any or all of the submissions in any of its publications, its websites and/or in any promotional material connected to this competition.
9.Illegible or incomplete submissions will not be considered. No responsibility can be accepted for lost entries and proof of sending will not be accepted as proof of receipt. Submissions must not be sent through agencies or third parties.
10.The winning entrant of each monthly competition will receive a $100 Avid Reader voucher can be spent at Avid Reader Bookshop, West End or online at www.avidreader.com.au or log on for a full list of literature events.
11.Events may occur that render the competition itself or the awarding of the prizes impossible due to reasons beyond the control of the Promoter and accordingly the Promoter may at its absolute discretion vary or amend the promotion and the entrant agrees that no liability shall attach to the Promoter as a result thereof.
