An afternoon in the gardens with Tino Carnevale
By Ella Richmond
Win tickets to meet Tino Carnevale at Valleyfield.
Do you have a passion for gardening? Or a passion for food? Or both?
How about growing your own food?
Tino Carnevale of Gardening Australia is an expert on just that.
On Wednesday 30 November, Tino will be talking about his Italian heritage and his resulting passion for gardening and cooking at Valleyfield open garden in Broadmarsh.
We are giving two lucky listeners the chance to attend the afternoon tea and meet Tino.
Winners can talk to Tino about his association with the 'Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Foundation' and how he teaches children to grow their own food and enjoy healthy eating.
Or you may want to get some advice on how you can grow your own delicacies!
For an opportunity to spend afternoon tea with Tino and tour the beautiful gardens of Valleyfield all you need to do is write a tribute poem in 30 words or less about gardens, heritage or the joys of a good afternoon tea where every line rhymes with Tino eg:
The mellow fellow takes a smoko and plays his cello Drinking choco latte with a few marshmallows.
Thats the standard to improve on.
Entries close Friday November 25, winners will be announced on Ryk's program on Monday November 28.
