Win a family pass to Japanese film Arrietty

Arrietty

The beautifully animated film is inspired by the Mary Norton classic children’s novel The Borrowers, with a wonderful Japanese twist by the talented anime powerhouse Studio Ghibli.

Beneath the floorboards of a sprawling mansion set in a magical, overgrown garden in the suburbs of Tokyo, tiny 14-year-old Arrietty lives with her equally tiny parents. Arrietty and her family love by “borrowing”. Everything they have, they borrow or make from the things they have borrowed. Arrietty’s parents have always warned her: “Never let humans see you.” But the adventurous Arrietty doesn’t listen, and soon she gets discovered by Sho, a 12-year-old human boy who lives in the mansion.

ARRIETTY is showing nationally from 12 January 2012. Each family pass is valid for free admission for 2 adults and 2 kids.

Arrietty will be playing in both English language and Japanese language with English subtitles.
