Win a $600 Masterclass with one of Melbourne’s most awarded Chefs

Multi Award winning and internationally renowned Chef Nicolas Poelaert is giving you and three friends the opportunity to win a culinary experience unlike any other in Melbourne.

Multi Award winning chef Nicolas Poelaert of Embrasse Restaurant in Carlton is giving away a culinary experience unlike any other offered in Melbourne - will you be the lucky food aficionado?

Do you love good food?

Do you love fresh produce?

Do you love innovative and interesting recipes?

And would you like the opportunity to learn from one of Melbourne’s most highly awarded chefs?

Nicolas Poelaert started attending Chef school at the early age of 14.  He completed his apprenticeship at 1 Michelin star restaurant, La Meunerie, under Alain Gelle Frances Chef of the year in 1993.

In 2003 Nicolas began working with Shannon Bennett at the original Vue de Monde before returning to Europe to strengthen his classic French cooking techniques. In 2004 Nicolas moved to London and worked at Gordon Ramsay's flagship restaurant on Royal Hospital Road.  From here, he took on a role as Head Chef in a small boutique Hotel in the Scottish Highlands.  During the years he worked there Nicolas was voted 'Rising Star of the Year' by Scottish Hotels Review in 2006.

“The food at Embrasse is rustic but conceptual. It can sometimes cross the line into plain intellectual, but generally it’s a kind of genial meeting of high and low art, between peasant and posh. It’s fine dining that’s clean and fresh, often devastatingly pretty, and dare I say, healthy.”  Larissa Dubecki EPICURE

Now as head Chef of the award winning Embrasse restaurant, one of Melbourne’s best, Nicolas is inviting one lucky AGFG member to win a day of personal attention and tuition, learning cutting edge fine dining techniques and conceptualising artistic fare.

On a Tuesday* (arranged anytime within the next year), you and three companions of your choice will meet for a morning market session at Melbourne’s Queen Victoria Market followed by a masterclass luncheon at Nic's own Embrasse Restaurant.

Valued at over $600, this is an opportunity not to be missed. Enter now and secure your chance to win this unique experience.

In twenty five words or less tell us the dish from Nic’s a-la-carte menu that sounds most appealing to you; for example, his signature meli melo of vegetables sounds joyous.

Be the envy of all your friends, enter now! Competition closes 31/01/2012

The finer details:

The prize date is negotiable but must be on a Tuesday and is subject to Nic’s availability
Market Meeting time will be at 10:30am
You will require to organise your own transportation between the market and the restaurant (it’s not very far)
