“HOYTS THE IRON LADY” NATIONAL PROMOTION
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these Terms and Conditions. Participation in this promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
2. Entry is only open to residents of NSW, VIC, SA, WA, QLD and ACT. Employees (and their immediate families) of the Promoter and agencies associated with this promotion are ineligible to enter. Immediate family means any of the following: spouse, ex-spouse, de-facto spouse, child or step-child (whether natural or by adoption), parent, step-parent, grandparent, step-grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, brother, sister, step-brother, step-sister or 1st cousin.
3. Entrants under 18 years old must have parental/guardian approval to enter and further, the parent/guardian of the entrant must read and consent to all terms and conditions. Parents/guardians may be required by the Promoter to enter into a further agreement as evidence of consent to this Promotion.
4. The “Iron Lady” national promotion commences on 19/12/11 and closes 11:59pm AEST on 02/01/12 (“Promotional Period”).
5. To enter, entrants must be a member of either the Hoyts Inside or Hoyts Rewards and visit
www.hoyts.com.au during the promotional period to complete their online entry by answering in 25 words or less: ‘If you were Prime Minister for a day what policy would you introduce and why?’. Non-members can sign up to either the Hoyts Insider or Hoyts Rewards during the promotional period and completing the same entry process as outlined above.
6. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including an entrant’s identity, age and place of residence) and to disqualify any entrant who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions or who tampers with the entry process. Errors and omissions may be accepted at the Promoter's discretion. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
7. Incomplete or indecipherable entries will be deemed invalid.
8. One entry per member permitted subject to the following: (a) only one (1) entry permitted per member; (b) entry must be submitted by answering the promotional question in 25 words or less; and (c) entry must be submitted in accordance with entry requirements.
9. Winners will be notified immediately via phone and in writing; via email. If the winner cannot be contacted by 1pm on Tuesday 31st January 2012 the prize will be forfeited. No replacement prize will be given.
10. This is a game of skill. Chance plays no part in determining the winner. Each entry till be individually judged based on literary and creative merit. All entries must be the original independent creation of the entrant and free of any claims that they infringe any third party rights. Entries must not have been published previously and/or have been used to win prizes in other competitions.
11. The judges reserve the right to disqualify any entrant submitting an entry which, in the opinion of the judges, includes objectionable content, including but not limited to profanity, nudity, potentially insulting, scandalous, inflammatory or defamatory images or language. The judge’s decision will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
12. British Airways port is based at Sydney airport; they will fly the winner and guest from Melbourne, Canberra, Adelaide or Brisbane to Sydney airport economy return.
13. Major Prize:
AIR PACKAGE for 2 people:

- Airfares must be booked by 28 February 2012 and are subject to availability.
- Flights may not be available during the Olympics, school holidays or peak holiday periods.
- All travel to be completed by 31 December 2012.
- The prize is not redeemable for cash and not transferable.
- Both tickets must be used at the same time.
- Reservations for all sectors are required, no open dated sectors permitted.
- Any changes made to the booking after the tickets have been issued will incur a service fee.
- The prize-winner and travelling companion must hold and carry a valid passport and any necessary visas.
- They will be carried pursuant to the British Airways’ General Conditions of Carriage (copy available at ba.com).
- The prize does not include any ancillary costs; these are at the prize-winners own expense.
Prize excludes: accommodation, meals, visas, passport costs, spending and other transport costs.
- Any change in the value of the flights during the promotion is not the responsibility of the promoter.
- Travel insurance is included in the prize

14. The winner and companions must possess a valid Australian passport with minimum of (6) six months validity from the date of scheduled return to Australia. It is the responsibility of the winner and their companion to ensure that they have full and correct documentation for travel.
15. The prize must be taken within 12 months and completed by 31 December 2012. If the Activity is varied for any reason beyond the control of the Promoter it may not be rescheduled and no compensation will be offered. The prize, or any unused portion of the prize, is not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash. In the event of war, terrorism, state of emergency or disaster, the Promoter reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion, subject to any written directions from a relevant State and/or Territory regulatory authority.
16. The winner and companion must depart from and return to the same departure point and travel together. Once flights have been confirmed by the Prize Provider/s changes are not permittable. Cancellations to the booking may be subject to fees payable by the winner. The itinerary is to be determined by the Promoter in its absolute discretion. Frequent flyer points will not form part of the prize. The Prize is subject to the standard terms and conditions of individual prize and service providers. Winner and companions may be required to present a credit card at time of accommodation check in. If the winner is under the age of 18 years at the time of the prize draw they must travel with a parent or approved guardian.
17. All other expenses, including additional spending money, meals, travel to and from departure point, transfers (unless otherwise stated), other ancillary costs are the responsibility of the winner. Incidental charges charged to the winner’s room, such as meals, mini bar, laundry room services, telephone calls etc., are at the expense of the winner. A credit card imprint or cash deposit may be required from the winner’s at check-in to the hotel. Unless expressly stated all other expenses become the responsibility of the winner.
18. The Promoter, prize provider and activity operators, in their absolute discretion, at all times reserve the right to: (a) prevent any winner and/or their companion from participating in the Activity if, at any time, they reasonably believe that they pose a safety risk or for any other reason; and/or (b) cancel the Activity if the conditions are deemed dangerous. (c) vary and/or substitute the prize (or part thereof) without notice with a prize to the equal value and/or specification, subject to any written directions from a State and/or Territory regulatory authority.
19. As a condition of accepting the prize, the winner and companion must sign any legal documentation as and in the form required by the Promoter and/or Prize Providers in their absolute discretion, including but not limited to a legal release and indemnity form.
20. The winner and companion of the prize acknowledge that elements of the prize are dangerous and may result in injury or death, and participate at their own risk. To the full extent permitted by law neither the Promoter, and/or any of its employees, contractors and agents or employees of its contractors and agents, and/or companies providing prizes for the Promotion, will be liable for any liability / cost / loss / damage / expense / death / personal injury suffered or incurred or any dispute (including, but not limited to, direct/indirect/consequential loss) arising out of, or in connection with this Promotion.
21. In the event that any prize item is unavailable, the Promoter reserves the right, subject to the approval of any relevant trade lottery authority, to substitute a prize item of equal or greater value.
22. Entrants consent to the Promoter using the entrant's name, likeness, image and/or voice in the event they are a winner (including photograph, film and/or recording of the same) in any media for an unlimited period without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this competition (including any outcome), and promoting any products manufactured, distributed and/or supplied by the Promoter.
23. If this promotion is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law (a) to disqualify any entrant; or (b) subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority, to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the promotion, as appropriate.
24. Any cost associated with accessing the promotional website is the entrant’s responsibility and is dependent on the Internet service provider used.
25. Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, the Promoter (including its officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the promotion, including, but not limited to, where arising out of the following: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter’s control); (b) any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; (c) any entry or prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; (d) any variation in prize value to that stated in these Terms and Conditions; (e) any tax liability incurred by a winner or entrant; or (f) use of the prize.
26. The Promoter collects personal information in order to conduct the promotion and may, for this purpose, disclose such information to third parties, including but not limited to agents, contractors, service providers, prize suppliers and as required, to regulatory authorities. Entry is conditional on providing this information. Entrants should direct any request to access, update or correct information to the Promoter. All entries become the property of the Promoter.
