By participating in the go card register online and win a $2,500 travel voucher from Student Flights promotion ('Promotion'), you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions:
1. Standard terms
1.1 Information on how to participate forms part of these terms and conditions.
2. Promoter's details
The promoter is TransLink Transit Authority ABN 46 097 411 749, 420 George Street, Brisbane QLD 4001 (GPO Box 50 Brisbane Qld 4001) ("the Promoter").
3. Who can enter
3.1 The Promotion is open to Concession (tertiary) TransLink go card holders who register their go card online at the TransLink website translink.com.au from 19 February 2012 to Monday 12 March 2012.
3.2 Employees, and their immediate families, of the TransLink Transit Authority Employing Office, the TransLink Transit Authority and its agents, contractors and sub-contractors are not eligible to participate in the Promotion. Immediate family, of a person, means the person's spouse and family members residing at the same premises as the person.
3.6 The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of all entries and reserves the right to disqualify any individual entrant or group of entrants for submitting an entry which is not in accordance with these conditions of entry.
4. How to enter
4.1 The Promotion commences at 12 noon Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST) on 19 February 2012 and finishes on 12 March 2012 at 9am (AEST) (the 'Promotion Period'). Late entries will not be accepted.
4.2 In order to enter the Promotion, entrants must visit the TransLink website at translink.com.au, register their go card and complete all the required information in the online entry form. If you do not supply all the required information, your entry will be deemed invalid.
4.3 Entrants will be required to provide their go card number and agree to these terms and conditions.
4.4 Any person who, in the opinion of the Promoter, tampers or interferes with the entry process in any way, or who does not properly comply with the entry process or these terms and conditions is not eligible to win.
4.5 Entrants for concession (tertiary) cards must be over the age of 18.
4.6 All online entry forms must be submitted by no later than 12 March 2012 at 9am (AEST).
5. Promotion
5.1 To be eligible to win the prize, entrants must have registered the go card online for the go card nominated in the online entry form.
5.2 It is the responsibility of individual entrants to ensure they have registered their go card. To view your go card account visit the go card website.
5.3 Entry is limited to one entry per Concession (tertiary) TransLink go card.
5.4 There is one prize available during the Promotion. The prize is a $2,500 travel voucher from Student Flights. The prize will be given away to the winner on completion of the prize draw.
5.5 This prize is limited to one individual.
5.6 Prizes are not transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash.
5.7 Prize value is correct at time of printing but no responsibility is accepted for any variation in the value of any prize items.
5.8 By participating in the Promotion, entrants agree to be contacted by the TransLink Transit Authority in relation to this Promotion.
5.9 Entrants acknowledge that this is a one off Promotion and will not be conducted by the TransLink Transit Authority on a regular basis.
5.10 Each online entry form becomes the property of the Promoter. All details will be held in accordance with the TransLink Privacy Procedure which can be accessed at translink.com.au.
5.11 A decision of the TransLink Transit Authority in relation to the Promotion, including a decision in relation to the prize draw, is final and the TransLink Transit Authority will not enter into correspondence regarding the Promotion.
6. Determination of winner and prize
6.1 The prize draw will occur at 420 George St, Brisbane, Queensland from 12noon on Tuesday 13 March 2012 following the draw close time of 9am (AEST) on 12 March 2012.
6.2 The first valid entry drawn will win the prize.
6.3 The promoter will conduct an unclaimed prize draw within 1 month of the end of the Promotion Period to distribute the prize which remains unclaimed at that date subject to any written directions given by a relevant lotteries or gaming authority. The first valid entry drawn at the unclaimed prize draw will win the prize.
6.4 Subject to any written directions given by a relevant lotteries or gaming authority, in the event that the prize item is unavailable despite the Promoter's reasonable endeavours to procure within Australia, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute a different prize item of equal or greater value.
7. Winner
7.1 The winner will be notified by email or telephone or by mailing address. Details of the draw result will also be published on the TransLink Transit Authority website.
7.2 The prize will only be delivered to an address within Australia and winners should allow 28 days from the prize draw for delivery of their prize.
7.3 The prize is subject to the terms and conditions of the prize set by Student Flights which can be found at the Student Flights website.
8. No liability
8.1 Online entry forms are deemed to be received at the time of receipt into the Promoter's database. The Promoter is not responsible for receipt of incorrect, inaccurate or incomplete information caused by an entrant or occurring during transmission. The Promoter is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone, telephone or computer network, or lines, servers, or telephone or internet providers, traffic congestion on any phone or computer network, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to participants or any other person's handset or computer related to or resulting from participation or sending or receiving of any communication or of any materials in this Promotion.
8.2 In the case of the intervention of any outside act, agent or event that prevents or significantly hinders the TransLink Transit Authority's ability to proceed with the Promotion on the dates and in the manner described in these terms and conditions, including but not limited to vandalism, power failures, tempests, natural disasters, acts of God, civil unrest, strike, war, act of terrorism, the TransLink Transit Authority may in its absolute discretion cancel the Promotion and recommence it from the start on the same conditions, subject to State Legislation.
8.3 The TransLink Transit Authority, its employees, agents, contractors and sub-contractors will take no responsibility for prizes damaged or lost in transit, or late, lost or misdirected mail.
8.4 The TransLink Transit Authority, its employees, agents, contractors and sub-contractors will not be liable for any misadventure, accident, injury, loss (including but not limited to consequential loss) or claim that may occur:
8.4.1 during the entry process;
8.4.2 whilst undertaking any travel connected with an entry or using a go card;
8.4.3 while participating in the Promotion;
8.4.4 as a consequence of late, lost or misdirected mail; or
8.4.5 due to the broadcast of any program relating to the Promotion or the publication of any material, including any statements made by any compere, staff member, journalist, other entrants or any other person.
9. General
9.1 You agree to be contacted by the Promoter about the promotion and to participate in the Promoter's publicity activities as reasonably requested, including being photographed by the Promoter for use by the Promoter in future marketing and promotional activities, without any fee being paid to you.
9.2 These terms and conditions do not exclude or limit the application of any statutory provision (including a provision of the Australian Consumer Law) where to do so would contravene that statute or cause any part of these terms and conditions to be void.
