Crazy Caption Competition

 This competition (“Competition”) is conducted by Defected Pty Ltd  Level 3, 145 William St. Darlinghurst, NSW 2010, ABN: 22140475798, +61 2 9993 0450 on behalf of Online Courses Australia ABN: 46 136 402 778  (“the Promoter”).

Entry to the competition constitutes acceptance of these conditions. All entry instructions and prize information published by the Promoter form part of these conditions.

 

HOW TO ENTER

To be eligible to enter, participants must:

1. “Like” the Online Courses Australia page (https://www.facebook.com/onlinecoursesaustralia).

2. Click on the “WIN” tab on the Online Courses Australia Facebook page below the profile picture.

3. Choose one of the 3 images supplied and give it a caption.

4. Complete their contact details in the form provided.

5. Agree to the Terms & Conditions and click the Submit button.

Participants will be provided with a unique URL that they can save and share with their friends once their entry has been approved for voting.
There will be 3 prizes in total. The 3 winners will be selected by the Promoter from the top 10 photos with the most “likes”.  Entrants can track the competition leaders on the Leaderboard.

 

TERMS & CONDITIONS

1.    The promotion is open to anyone over the age of 16 who is an Australian Citizen or Resident.
2.    To enter this competition, entrants must complete the entry procedure outlined in the “How to Enter” section above, during the competition period.
3.    Participants may submit as many entries as they like.
4.    Prizes are not transferable or redeemable for cash
5.    The promotion commences at 11.00hrs (AEDT) on 02/03/12 and closes at 17:00hrs (AEDT) on 18/05/12.  The three winners will be notified by The Promoter by email by the 25/05/12.
6.    Supplying valid contact details are part of the conditions of entry to this promotion. All contact details entered incorrectly shall be deemed invalid.
7.    If the Promoter doesn’t hear back from a winner within one week of contacting them, then the competition will be rejudged to select a new winner for that prize.
8.    Once all 3 winners have been successfully contacted, the winners will be announced on the Online Courses Australia Facebook page.
9.    This competition is a game of skill. Chance plays no part in determining the winners.
10.    The 10 entries with the most votes (“likes”) at the close of the competition will be the top 10 finalists.  The Promoter will select 3 winners from these 10 entries.
11.    Entrants found to be using organised vote exchange forums, vote exchange groups and vote exchange websites will be disqualified from the competition. This decision will be investigated and actioned at the Promoter’s discretion.
12.    The Promoter’s decision of the 3 winning entries will be final. No correspondence will be entered into about the judging of the competition.
13.    The Promoter has the right to disqualify entries if the entry has violated the Terms & Conditions in any way.
14.    Total Prize Pool value will be $6000 and is not exchangeable.  Prizes cannot be redeemed for cash.  Prizes are as follows:

1st Place – $5000 Online Courses Australia Scholarship + $500 cash
2nd Place – $300 Apple Gift Voucher
3rd Place – $200 Apple Gift Voucher

15.    No responsibility is accepted for any variation in the value of the prizes.
16.    By entering the competition and submitting content you authorise that it is your own content and that you are permitted to distribute such content.
17.    By entering the competition you agree to have your content published in the public domain.
18.    Incomplete and ineligible entries will be deemed invalid. Entries will also be deemed invalid if they breach these Conditions of Entry as determined by the Promoter in its sole discretion or any other content guidelines notified by the Promoter during the entry process for the Competition.
19.    The Promoter reserves the right to at any time to delete any content that in sole judgment violates the terms & conditions or which may be offensive, illegal or violate the rights, harm, or threaten the safety of any person.
20.    If for any reason this promotion is not capable of running as planned because of infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this promotion, the Promoter reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion or to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, subject to any written directions given under applicable State or Territory legislation.
21.    The information entrants provide will be used by the Promoter for the purpose of conducting this Competition. The Promoter may disclose entrants’ personal information to companies and agencies connected with this Competition.
