2. Registration is only open to Australian residents who are registered as 'liking' the official Burt's Bees Australia page on Facebook (
http://www.facebook.com/BurtsBeesAus) during the time of the promotion or earlier. Employees and the immediate families of the Promoter and its agencies associated with this promotion are ineligible. If you are under 18 years old as at the time of registration it is highly recommended to obtain your parents’ or guardians' permission to enter.
3. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of registrations and to disqualify any entrant who tampers with the registration process or who submits a registration that is not in accordance with these Conditions of Entry.
4. Multiple registrations per person are not permitted.
5. No responsibility accepted for late, lost or misdirected registrations.
6. Promotion commences Tuesday, 10 April 2012. Registrations close 5pm AEST on Sunday, 22 April 2012 (the promotion period).
7. The selection process will be conducted at 498 Murray Rd. Preston VIC 3072 on Monday, 23 April 2012 at 11am. Those selected to be part of the Trial Team will be notified via email (where they will be asked to supply a current address) on or before 27 April 2012. Judges' decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
8. To register their interest, participants must subscribe, or be subscribed, to the Burt's Bees Australia fan page on Facebook, and submit a registration via the supplied form answering the following question: "What's your favourite Burt's Bees product and why should we pick you to join our VIP Trial Team?".
9. The best twenty (20) registrations, as judged by the Promoter, will be selected to form the April 2012 Burt's Bees VIP Trial Team.
10. As a condition of registration, entrants must consent to providing Burt's Bees with a full and detailed review of the products outlined in Point 11 and post this review on the Trial Team tab which can be found on the Burt's Bees Australia page on Facebook no later than 5.00pm AEST on Sunday, 13 May 2012. Failure to do so will result in immediate disqualification from the Burt's Bees Australia Trial Team.
10A. Selected Trial Team members will be emailed full instructions on how to receive their review product and submit their review once the Trial team members have been finalised.
11. There are twenty (20) trial team members in total. Each selected team member will receive Burt’s Bees Facial Towelettes with White Tea Extract (valued at $9.95) to review.
12. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in the review pack value. Review packs or any unused portion of a review pack are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash.
13. The Promoter may review further registrations, at the same place as the original judging is held, as are necessary on Monday, 30 April at 11am in order to distribute any review pack unclaimed by that date, subject however to any written directions given under Reg 37 of the Lottery and Gaming Regulations 1993 (SA).
14. In the event that a review pack, or an element of a review pack, is/are not available, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute review pack(s) in its discretion to the same and equal recommended retail value and/or specification subject to any written directions from the various lottery Departments.
15. If for any reason this promotion is not capable of running as planned (including but not limited to) infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupts or affect the administration security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this competition, the Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the registration process, and, subject to any written directions given by the various Lottery Departments, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion.
16. The Promoter is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on line systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software, technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any web site, or any combination thereof, (including but not limited to) any injury or damage to participants or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from participation in or downloading any materials in this promotion.
17. Any costs associated with accessing the Burt's Bees Australia page on Facebook is the entrant’s responsibility and is dependent on the Internet service provider used. Any registration not including a completed form answering the following question: “What's your favourite Burt's Bees product and why should we pick you to join our VIP Trial Team?” shall be deemed invalid.
18. The Promoter shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for personal injury which is suffered or sustained, as a result of participating in this promotion or accepting any of the prizes, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
19. In the event of war, terrorism, state of emergency or disaster the Promoter reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion subject to any written directions from the various lottery Departments.
20. The Promoter shall not be liable for any merchandise that has been lost, stolen, forged, damaged or tampered with in any way.
21. All registrations are deemed to be received at the time of receipt into the promotional database and not at the time of transmission by the entrant.
22. The Promoter collects entrants’ personal information in order to conduct the promotion. If the information requested is not provided, the entrant may not participate in the promotion. By entering the promotion, unless otherwise advised, each entrant also agrees that the Promoter may use this information, in any media for future promotional, marketing and publicity purposes without any further reference, payment or other compensation to the entrant, including sending the entrant electronic messages. Entrants’ personal information may be disclosed to State and Territory lottery departments and winners’ names published as required under the relevant lottery legislation. A request to access, update or correct any information should be directed to the Promoter at their address set out below.
23. Entrants consent to the Promoter using the entrant's name, likeness, image and/or voice in the event they are selected to be a part of the Trial Team (incl. photograph, film and/or recording of the same) in any media for an unlimited period of time without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this promotion (including any outcome), and promoting any products manufactured, distributed and/or supplied by the Promoter.
24. The Promoter reserves the right to request selected Trial Team members to provide proof of age, identity and residency at the nominated review pack delivery address. Identification considered suitable for verification is at the discretion of the Promoter.
