1. Instructions on ‘how to enter’ and prizes form part of these Terms and Conditions. Participation in this promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. 2. WHO CAN ENTER? 2.1. Entry is only open to Queensland residents over the age of 18. 2.2. Entrants must submit a valid email address and by entering this competition, understand that you are giving permission to Westfield to send further marketing information to you 2.3. Westfield employees, retailers, retailer’s employees, tenants of Westfield Garden City and the competition partners /sponsors, their immediate families and the agencies associated with this promotion are ineligible to enter. Entries are open to amateur stylist’s / fashion journalists only (ie stylists / fashion journalists that do not, or have not in the past received any payment for their styling / journalistic work). 3. HOW TO ENTER? 3.1. The promotion commences at 5.00pm Friday 30 March 2012 and closes at 9am Tuesday 17 April 2012 (“Promotional Period”). 3.2 To enter the promotion, individuals must, during the Promotional Period, submit their entry thorugh the Stylist’s Apprentice Competition Application via the Westfield Garden City facebook page facebook.com/westfieldgardencity. The entry must include entrant name, phone contact, email address, occupation, 1 x photograph of the entrant showcasing the entrant’s styling and trend interpretation abilities, accompanied by a 150 word ‘blog’ format text detailing the theory behind the photograph styling and answer to “Top 5 tips”. By submitting your details you will automatically be registered to receive regular communications on special offers, news and information from Westfield Garden City. 3.3 The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including an entrant’s identity, occupation, age and place of residence) and to disqualify any entrant who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions or who tampers with the entry process. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights. 3.4 Incomplete, indecipherable or illegible entries will be deemed invalid. 4. JUDGING: A judging panel will choose 5 (five) finalists. This preliminary judging will take place at Westfield Garden City Centre Management office at 12 noon on Wednesday 18 April 2012. The 5 finalists will be invited to undertake the secondary round - an in-centre Styling Challenge, Blog Challenge, Interview with Westfield Garden City and live finale catwalk parade. STYLING CHALLENGE: Will be held over 2 x 2hr sessions across April 24, 26 & 27 2012. Entrants must be available on these dates in order to compete in The Stylist’s Apprentice 2012. Finalists will be allocated 1 x 2hr timeslot on either 24 or 26 April 2012 to pull stock from Westfield Garden City fashion retailers, escorted by a representative of the Westfield Garden City Style Team. Finalists will then be allocated a second 1 x 2hr time slot on 17 April 2012 to style their looks on 2 models and present their looks/models to the live judging panel. Immediately following the presentation a professional photographer will shoot each look/model. All photographs taken on this shoot will remain the property of Westfield Garden City. BLOGGING CHALLENGE: Finalists must submit 1 x 150 word ‘blog-post’ on each Monday 23 April 2012 and Monday 30 April 2012 to Westfield Garden City at
fashion.gardencity@au.westfield.com. Once submitted these posts become property of Westfield Garden City. FINALE STYLING: Entrants must be available on May 9 & 10 2012 for the finale event to be held at Westfield Garden City. Entrants will be asked to pull 5 looks from Westfield Garden City retailers to showcase in a live catwalk fashion parade. Winner will be decided by the judging panel based upon entrant performance in each round providing adequate passing of an official interview with Westfield Garden City staff. Finalists must be available to attend each of the aforementioned dates and pay their own travel costs to attend. A panel of Brisbane media representatives, Westfield Garden City representatives, fashion stylists and photographers will be part of the final judging panel. 5. NOTIFICATION: The five finalists will be notified by email or phone on Thursday 18 April 2012. Winner will be announced live at the finale event held on Thursday 10 May 2012. People’s Choice will be notified by email or phone on Monday 28 May 2012. 6. PRIZE DETAILS: The five finalists will win the opportunity to undertake the photo shoot, blog and finale parade. The overall winner will receive a casual position on the Westfield Garden City Style Team (Employment taken in form of a Casual ‘Concierge’ employment contract with Westfield Garden City commencing 30 June 2012 on the understanding that role is as a Junior Style Team Member); Placement on Style Team also includes 1 x Westfield Stylist Induction in Sydney, includes domestic Australian flights and 1 (one) night accommodation and 1 x $500 Westfield Gift Card. The winner must present photographic proof of identity to claim the prize. 6.2 The winner of the prize is responsible for his or her own travel costs to reach this event. 6.3 If the prize is not collected in accordance with these Terms and Conditions within one month of the date of the draw, it will automatically be forfeited by that winner. 7. UNCLAIMED PRIZE DRAW: In the event that the prize is not collected in accordance with these Terms and Conditions, Westfield Garden City marketing department will review remaining finalists and award the unclaimed prize based on performance in competition rounds. The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. 8. TOTAL PRIZE POOL: The total prize pool value for this promotion is 2 (two) prizes valued at AUD$250 each, one prize valued at AUD$500, and grand prize valued at approximately AUD$1500 plus potential earnings of a Westfield casual-contracted employee. Total prize value is approximately AUD$2500. The prize is not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash. In the event that for any reason whatsoever the prize winner does not take an element of the prize at the time stipulated by the Promoter then that element of the prize will be forfeited by the prize winner and cash will not be awarded in lieu of that element of the prize. 9.
