10 x Spud in-season double passes, courtesy of Pinnacle

Score a double pass and see why this South African coming-of-age tale proved such a huge hit in its native country.

It's South Africa 1990. Two major events are about to happen: The release of Nelson Mandela and, more importantly, it's Spud Milton's first year at an elite private boarding school. Surrounded by boys with nicknames like Gecko, Rambo, Rain Man and Mad Dog, Spud has his hands full trying to adapt to his new home. Armed with only his wits and his diary, Spud takes us from illegal night swimming to the red-hot furnace of the cricket pitch, from ghost busting to a catastrophic family vacation.

Based on John Van De Ruit's bestselling South African novel, this is a quirky, funny and tender coming-of-age story featuring wonderful performances form young Aussie Troye Sivan in the lead role, and John Cleese as his dry-witted English professor.

For your chance to win a double pass to Spud, simply let us know your favourite film set within a boarding school and why you like it. Please include your name and address. Email to competitions@filmink.com.au

Entries close April 25.
