Conditions of Entry
1. Information about the prize and how to enter forms part of these Conditions of Entry. Entry into this promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions of Entry by each entrant. Entry is via Internet only.
2. Entry is free and open to residents of Australia aged 18 years or older (“Eligible Entrant”), who enter the promotion in the required manner.
3. Employees of Flight Centre Limited, Access Prepaid Australia Pty Limited, and their immediate families are not permitted to enter.
Duration of the Promotion
4. Entry into the competition opens at 10:00am (AEST) Monday, 2 July 2012 and closes at 3:00pm (AEST) on Friday, 3 August 2012 (“the Promotional Period”).
How to Enter
5. A maximum of two (2) entries per person will be valid. Eligible Entrants can enter the promotion in the following way.
a. To enter the competition the entrant must go to
www.facebook.com/flightcentreau and click on the ‘WIN A CASH PASSPORT application on
www.facebook.com/flightcentreau. If the user does not already ‘like’ the page, they will be required to press ‘like’ and then fill in the online entry form. If the entrant already ‘likes’ the page they will not be required to click the ‘like’ button. The tick box authorising email subscription must be ticked for the entry to be valid.
6. After completing an initial entry as outlined in Condition 5a, eligible entrants may acquire one (1) additional entry by sharing the competition via the Facebook or Twitter share functions located on the competition entry confirmation page. This would provide entrants with a maximum of two (2) entries into the draw.
7. Any eligible entrant who enters the competition and wins a prize will win double the prize if they can show proof of purchase of a current and valid Cash Passport. The entrant must tick the box to declare they have a current Cash Passport on the entry form.
8. Entries will be deemed to be accepted at the time of receipt and not at the time of transmission. Entries received will be considered final by the Promoter. Incomplete, inaccurate, erroneous, ineligible or incomprehensible entries will be deemed invalid. Entries must be received by the Promoter during the promotional period. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for late, lost or misdirected entries.
9. Any contact details entered incorrectly on the Promotional Websites shall be deemed invalid and will result in an ineligible entry.
10. In order to subscribe to the Flight Centre email newsletter and complete the online entry form eligible entrants will be required to provide their full name, current and valid email address, postal address, daytime telephone number, mobile number, postcode and date of birth.
11. Any costs associated with accessing the Promotional Website remains the responsibility of each entrant and are dependent on the Internet Service Provider used.
12. By entering the competition the winner consents to the use of their name, suburb of residence and image for promotional and marketing purposes.
Details of Prizes
13. There will be a total of five (5) prizes drawn with a total prize value of up to $10,000. Each prize is a $1,000 Multi-currency Cash Passport™ Prepaid MasterCard®. However, if the winner already has a current and valid Multi-currency Cash Passport™ Prepaid MasterCard® that winner will double their prize and a Multi-currency Cash Passport™ Prepaid MasterCard® of $2,000 will be awarded.
Prize conditions:
· In order for an entrant to double their prize they must be able to show proof of purchase of a current and valid Multi-currency Cash Passport™ Prepaid MasterCard®
· Prize is transferable
· Winner(s) must claim prize by 5:00pm, Friday 9 November 2012 or the winner forfeits the prize
Prize Draws
14. There will be five (5) computer automated prize draws generating a total of five (5) Prize Winners.
15. The prize draws will take place at Level 2, 545 Queen Street, Brisbane QLD 4000.
16. The times and dates of the prize draws are as follows:
a. Draw 1: 3:00pm (AEST) Friday 6 July 2012
b. Draw 2: 3:00pm (AEST) Friday 13 July 2012
c. Draw 3: 3:00pm (AEST) Friday 20 July 2012
d. Draw 4: 3:00pm (AEST) Friday 27 July 2012
e. Draw 5: 3:00pm (AEST) Friday 3 August 2012
Notification of Winners
17. The prize winners will be notified by phone, email and by the publication of their name on
www.facebook.com/flightcentreau on the day of their prize winning draw between 4:00pm and 5:00pm AEST.
18. The Promoter will assist the Prize Winner as much as is practicable to ensure the prize is taken according to these terms and conditions.
Unclaimed Prize Draw
19. If any prize has not been claimed by the winner(s) by 5:00pm (AEST) on Friday 9 November 2012 (“the unclaimed prizes”), an unclaimed prize draw for the unclaimed prizes will occur at 12:00pm (AEST) on Monday 12 November 2012. The unclaimed prize draw will be a random computer generated prize draw. The winner(s) will be notified by phone, email and by the publication of their name on
www.facebook.com/flightcentreauon on Monday 12 November 2012 by 5:00pm (AEST).
No Liability
20. To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter is not responsible or liable for:
a. inaccurate/incorrect transcription of entry information;
b. purported entries that are not received for any reason, including because they are lost, misdirected or stolen, or that are received, but are late, illegible, incomplete, sent with insufficient postage (where entry is by post), or sent other than as directed in the entry instructions;
c. any problems or technical failures of any kind, including malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems or network, servers or providers, computer equipment, or software;
d. the unavailability or inaccessibility of any service whether or not caused by traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website;
e. unauthorised human intervention in any part of the competition;
f. electronic or human error which may occur in the administration of the competition;
g. any loss suffered or sustained, to person or property and including, but not limited to, consequential (including economic) loss by reason of any act or omission, deliberate or negligent, by the Promoter, or its servants or agents, in connection with the arrangement for supply, or the supply, of any goods or services by any person to a prize winner and, where applicable, to any family/persons accompanying a winner; or
h. any injury or damage to persons or property, including to the participant's or any other person's computer related to, or resulting from, participation or downloading any materials in this competition.
21. The Promoter will not be liable for personal injury suffered during prize winnings. The winner, and his or her guests (if any), must sign and return any liability release and indemnity provided by the Promoter and/or its contractors as a condition of a prize being awarded. Failure to return the signed releases and indemnities will result in the entitlement to the prize being forfeited and the selection of another winner.
22. This condition does not affect, and is not intended to affect, any rights a consumer might have, which cannot be excluded under applicable consumer protection laws. To the fullest extent permitted by law, any liability of the Promoter or its servant or agents for breach of any such rights is limited to the payment of the cost of having the prize supplied again.
General
23. Access Prepaid Australia Pty Ltd (ABN 47 145 452 044, AFSL 386 837) arranges for the issue of the Cash Passport in conjunction with the issuer, Heritage Bank Limited (ABN 32 087 652 024, AFSL / ACL 240 984). You should consider the Product Disclosure Statement for the relevant Cash Passport available at
www.cashpassport.com.au before deciding to acquire the product. Any advice does not take into account your personal needs, financial circumstances or objectives and you should consider if it is appropriate for you.
24. The Promoter is Flight Centre Limited trading as Flight Centre ABN 25 003 377 188 located at Level 2, 545 Queen Street, Brisbane QLD 4000. The personal information of entrants will be collected to enable the Promoter to administer and promote this competition and its winners and may be used to market its services to the entrant. The personal information of the entrants will be held and used in accordance with the Promoter’s privacy policy which is available at
www.flightcentre.com.au. The personal information of winners may be provided to others assisting, including prize suppliers and deliverers, and to authorities that regulate this competition. In the event that entrants decide to opt out of receiving information on promotions, services and market research provided by Flight Centre Limited they can email
customer.feedback@flightcentre.com or contact the Global Head Office on 07 3170 7979. If an entrant does not truthfully provide all requested personal information, the Promoter may determine that they are not eligible to win the prize.
