Direct from the best stages in St Petersburg, New York, London, Berlin and Moscow, Eifman Ballet – one of the world’s finest contemporary ballet companies – will present a visual feast of passion, entertainment and drama in its Australian debut with two of its most acclaimed productions: Anna Karenina and Tchaikovsky.
At the helm of the Eifman phenomenon is Russian choreographer Boris Eifman, a master of psychological ballet, whose 50-strong company will thrill Australian audiences with his powerful and emotional interpretations of these classic pieces. His dancers are classically trained, world class, statuesque and powerful. Eifman’s repertoire has helped create a special type of artist, combining dance, acting, brilliant technique, and a gift for transformation.
Eifman Ballet will be at Sydney’s Capitol Theatre from August 15 and at Melbourne’s Regent Theatre from August 29. Bookings: ticketmaster.com.au; 1300 723 038.
The Australian Jewish News has two double B-reserve passes to give away to the August 30 of Anna Karenina and two double passes to the September 5 performance of Tchaikovsky, both at Melbourne’s Regent Theatre.
Competition entries close on Thursday, August 2.
