2. Entry is open to residents of Australia aged 18 or over with a valid email address and who are registered members of the Petbarn Friends for Life” Loyalty Club (“Eligible Entrant”). Employees of the Promoter, the Promoter’s associated companies, the Promoter’s agencies associated with this competition and their immediate families are ineligible to enter.
3. Customers can join the Petbarn Friends for Life Loyalty Club in any Petbarn store. For any questions concerning the Petbarn Friends for Life Loyalty Club, call 1300 655 896 or contact your local Petbarn store.
4. The Promotion commences at 9am Australian Eastern Standard Time (“AEST”) on Tuesday 26 June 2012 & closes at 5pm AEST on Wednesday 29th August 2012 (“Promotion Period”).
5. An Eligible Purchase is required to enter, which is either: any 18kg bag of SUPERCOAT dog food OR any 3.5kg bag of SUPERCOAT cat food from a participating Petbarn store.
6. To send an entry:
a. Go to
www.petbarn.com.au and follow the prompts to the SUPERCOAT promotion entry page;
b. Input the requested details including full name, phone number, valid email address, residential address, Friends for Life Loyalty Club member number and full purchase receipt number.
c. Submit the fully completed entry form.
7. An incomplete or indecipherable entry will be deemed invalid.
8. Entry is limited to once per Eligible Purchase provided entry does not exceed once per calendar day and per residential address (“Household”). Any form of automated entry using any other devices or software is invalid.
9. Entrants must keep the original Petbarn purchase receipt showing the Eligible Purchase safe for every entry made until after the promotion closes. The Promoter reserves the right to require the entrant to provide the proof that every entry they made was valid before awarding the prize. Further, the Promoter retains the absolute discretion to require any entrant, (including groups of entrants in the same Household), to provide proof of residency at the Household address shown on their entry before awarding a prize.
10. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of all entries and reserves the right to disqualify any individual entrant or group of entrants for tampering with the entry process, including but not limited to the utilisation of techniques designed to avoid payment of call costs or for making multiple entries that are not associated with a separate Eligible Purchase, or for submitting an entry which is not otherwise in accordance with these conditions of entry.
11. In the case that the Promoter finds evidence of tampering by the entrant in the entry process or the verification process, in addition to declaring any or all entries made by the entrant invalid, the Promoter may in its complete discretion preclude that entrant from participation in any or all future promotions of the Promoter.
12. Each valid entry received during the Promotion Period will be entered in the prize draw for the Petbarn store where the Eligible Purchase was made.
13. The prize is a Canon Powershot (Model SX230HS) valued at $449 recommended retail price (“RRP”). There are a total of 80 prizes to be won, one in each participating Petbarn store operating during the Promotion Period.
14. The prize draws will commence from 10am on Thursday 6 September 2012 at Unit 6, 106 Old Pittwater Road, Brookvale NSW 2100. The first valid entry drawn from each participating Petbarn store will win the prize. The prize draws will continue until a winner from each of the 80 participating stores has been drawn.
15. All winners will be notified in writing within 48 hours of the prize draw. All winners’ names and postcodes will be published in The Australian on Thursday 13 September 2012 and may also appear at
www.petbarn.com.au by that date.
16. Total prize pool is valued at $35,920 RRP.
17. Prize is not transferable & cannot be taken as cash.
18. The Promoter is not liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered, including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss, or for personal injury suffered or sustained during the course of accepting or using the prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
19. Each entry becomes the property of the Promoter. All details will be held in accordance with the Promoter’s Privacy Policy which can be accessed by visiting
www.petbarn.com.au 20. Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
21. If any prize remains unclaimed by Thursday 6 December 2012 despite the Promoter’s best efforts to contact a winner, then subject to any written directions given by a relevant lotteries or gaming authority the Promoter may conduct an unclaimed prize draw at the same time and place as the original prize draws on that date to distribute any unclaimed prize. The first valid entry drawn from all non-winning entries received for the store where the unclaimed prize remains will win the prize and the draws will continue until all unclaimed prizes have been awarded. Any winner of such a draw will be notified in writing within 48 hours of the draw and their name and postcode will be published in The Australian on Thursday 13 December 2012 and also at
http://www.petbarn.com.au by that date.
22. Prizes will only be delivered in Australia and each winner should allow 28 days from the prize draw for delivery of their prize.
23. If for any reason this Promotion is not capable of running as planned, whether caused by infection by computer virus, mobile phone failure, line drop out, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other cause beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness or integrity of the Promotion, the Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion, (subject to any written direction given by a relevant Regulatory Authority), to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Promotion. The Promoter may in its sole discretion disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process.
24. Entries are deemed to be received at the time of receipt into the Promoter’s database. The Promoter is not responsible for receipt of incorrect, inaccurate or incomplete information caused by an entrant or occurring during transmission. The Promoter is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone, telephone or computer network, or lines, servers, or telephone or internet providers, traffic congestion on any phone or computer network, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to participants or any other person’s handset or computer related to or resulting from participation or sending or receiving of any communication or of any materials in this Promotion.
