1. Information on how to enter, mechanics of entry and the Prize form part of these Conditions of
Entry. Entry into the promotion is deemed acceptance of these Conditions of Entry. Entry is via
Internet only.
WHO CAN ENTER
2. Entry is only open to residents of Australia aged 18 years or over who, in the event they are a
Winner (as defined in Condition 14) are able to travel and remain in Canberra, ACT on the dates
specified in Condition 17, in order to participate in the Prize (Entrants). The employees (and their
immediate families) of the Promoter, and entities that are directly associated with the conduct of
this promotion (such as, printers, suppliers and providers retained by the Promoter) are ineligible
to enter the promotion.
PROMOTIONAL PERIOD
3. The promotion starts at 9:00am (AEST) on 13/8/2012 and ends at 11:59PM (AEST) on 21/9/2012
(Promotional Period).

4. The Promoter is Australian Capital Territory a body politic established by section 7 of the
Australian Capital Territory (Self-Government) Act 1988 represented by Australian Capital
Tourism in the Economic Development Directorate (ABN 72397293490) of Level 8, 220
Northbourne Avenue, Braddon, ACT 2608.
HOW TO ENTER
5. To enter the promotion, Entrants must, during the Promotional Period, fully and correctly
complete and successfully submit the Human Brochure questionnaire (Questionnaire) in the
manner required including providing the Entrantâs full name, date of birth, sex, age, mobile
telephone number, current and valid email address and answering the required list of questions
relevant to the promotion. To access the Questionnaire, the Entrants must:

6. The Promoter reserves the right to accept or reject an Entry, disqualify any Entrant, prohibit an
Entrantâs participation in the promotion, Prize or otherwise cease to provide any benefit from the
promotion or the Prize to that Entrant if an Entrant acts in a way, or causes material to be
published which the Promoter, in its sole discretion, deems to be inappropriate, aggressive,
defamatory, offensive, to diminish the good name or reputation of the Promoter, or its products, or
any of its related bodies corporate, to be contrary to law or otherwise not in keeping with the spirit
of the promotion. The decision by the Promoter to accept or reject an Entry is in the Promoterâs
sole discretion and no correspondence will be entered into.
7. The Promoter reserves the right to reject any Entry which the Promoter considers may infringe
any Intellectual Property Rights or other rights of any person, corporation or entity.
8. Only one (1) Entry per person permitted. Any subsequent entry after the first valid entry is
received will be deemed invalid.
9. Entrants can only enter in their own name. Entrants who provide incorrect, misleading or
fraudulent information are ineligible to participate in the promotion and all Entries of an Entrant
who is deemed by the Promoter to have provided incorrect, misleading or fraudulent information
may, at the discretion of the Promoter, be deemed invalid. The Promoter reserves the right to
request the Entrant produce (within the requested time) appropriate photo identification or other
documentation (to the Promoterâs satisfaction, at its sole discretion) in order to confirm the
Entrantâs identity, age, residential address, eligibility to enter or claim a Prize, all details of their
Entry and any other information submitted by the Entrant in entering the promotion, before issuing
a Prize. If the documentation required by the Promoter is not received by the Promoter (or its
nominated agent) or an Entrant or Entry has not been verified or validated to the Promoterâs
satisfaction then all the Entries of that Entrant will be ineligible and deemed invalid.
10. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of any and all Entries and reserves the right
to disqualify any Entrant for: (a) submitting an Entry which is not in accordance with these
Conditions of Entry; (b) tampering with the Entry process; or (c) if the Entrant is engaged in any
unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of the
promotion. The Promoterâs legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from such an
offender are reserved. The Prizes will only be awarded following any Winner validation and
verification that the Promoter requires in its sole discretion.
11. The use of any automated entry software or any mechanical, electronic or other means that
allows an Entrant to automatically enter repeatedly is prohibited and will render all Entries
submitted by that Entrant invalid.
12. Entries will be deemed accepted at the time of receipt by the Promoter and not at the time of
transmission. Entries received will be considered final by the Promoter. Incomplete, inaccurate,
erroneous, ineligible or incomprehensible Entries will be deemed invalid. The Promoter accepts
no responsibility for late, lost or misdirected Entries.
13. An Entrant may, during the Promotional Period, be requested by the Promoter to resubmit their
Entry via the Promotional Website or the Entry, if the Promoter considers the Entry submitted to
be ineligible to be accepted as a valid Entry (Resubmitted Entry). The decision by the Promoter
to request a Resubmitted Entry, or to accept or reject a Resubmitted Entry as a valid Entry, is in
the Promoterâs sole discretion and no correspondence will be entered into. If a Resubmitted Entry
is accepted by the Promoter, in its sole discretion as a valid Entry, the Resubmitted Entry will be
deemed to be the Entry for the Entrant for the remainder of the promotion. If a Resubmitted Entry
is rejected by the Promoter as a valid Entry, or is not received by the Promoter during the
Promotional Period, the Entrant will not have gained an Entry into the promotion.

JUDGING WINNERS
15. All valid Entries will be judged by a panel of appropriately qualified judges at 4 Glen Street
Milsons Point, NSW 2061 by 28/9/2012 to determine the Entries judged to be the best from all
eligible Entries received (Winners). All eligible Entries will be judged on a basis of suitability and
relevance to the campaign. Chance plays no part in determining the Winners. The Winners will be
notified in writing by 1/10/2012. All reasonable steps to notify the Winners of the results of the
judging will be taken by the Promoter. The judgesâ decision is final and no correspondence will be
entered into. Each Winner will be permitted to bring one partner, one friend or up to three (3)
members of their immediate family as their Guests (Guests). The total number of Winners and
Guests will not exceed five hundred (500). The judgesâ decision in relation to the number and
combination of Winners and Guests is in the judgesâ discretion and no correspondence will be
entered into. All Guests must fulfil the same obligations as the Winner as stipulated in these
Conditions of Entry.
16. The Promoter may award a Prize to the next best judged Entry or Entries in order to award a
Prize or Prizes if unclaimed by 12/10/2012 or if the Promoter is unable to contact any Winner by
that date.
17. The Promoter reserves the right to judge that if Entries received are not of a sufficient standard
when assessed against the judging criteria, the Promoter can determine that not all of the Prizes
will be awarded.
PRIZE
18. The Winners will each receive one (1) activities prize in Canberra, ACT for the Winner and their
Guest(s) (if any), during either the period 25/10/2012 to 27/10/2012 (inclusive) or the period
15/2/2013 to 17/2/2013 (inclusive) as selected by the Entrant on the Questionnaire and confirmed
by the Promoter valued at up to $1,160.00 each (Prize). The Prize comprises of the following
elements for the Winner and their Guest(s):
a. two (2) nights accommodation including breakfast (twin share) (or similar);
b. two (2) days of organised activities arranged by the Promoter (Activities). The Promoter will
provide Winners with an itinerary setting out all activity details prior to the Winners taking the
Prize;
c. main meals are included in the itinerary and will be confirmed prior to the Winners taking the
Prize;
d. one (1) adult return economy airfares for the Winner and each of their Guest(s) (if any) to
Canberra, ACT from the Australian capital city airport closest to the ordinary residential
address of the winner (inclusive of airfare related taxes and charges). If the winnerâs
residential address is in NSW this component of the Travel Prize is forfeited and the winner
will instead receive a $75 travel reimbursement transferred into the Winnerâs nominated
account within thirty (30) days after the Event.
19. The entire Prize must be taken on the dates set out in Condition 17 otherwise the Prize is
forfeited. No extension or variation of the dates nominated by the Promoter will be permitted. All
components of the Prize must be taken together. Any element of the Prize not taken will be
deemed to be forfeited.
20. Taking a Prize is subject to any prevailing terms and conditions of any accommodation or
Activities providers (including but not limited to ground security and ticketing), and in particular,
health, behaviour, age and safety requirements. No compensation will be payable if the Winner or
their Guest(s) are unable to participate in or use any element of the Prize as stated for whatever

reason, including refusal of participation in certain Activities for health, age, behaviour or safety
reasons. Any part of a Prize that is not taken for any reason is forfeited. Use of the Prize and any
passes or vouchers issued as part of the Prize may be subject to prevailing prize supplier terms
and conditions of use. The Prize cannot be used in conjunction with travel discounts or special
offers. Winners may be required to present a credit card at time of accommodation check-in.
21. All additional costs not expressly stated, but which may be incurred in acceptance and use of the
Prize, are the responsibility of the Winner. Such additional costs include, but are not limited to,
transfers from the Winner and their Guest(s)â (if any) ordinary residential address to the nearest
capital city, meals and beverage not included in the itinerary, room service, telephone calls,
laundry services, spending money, insurance and travel insurance and any other incidentals or
gratuities.
22. Total maximum Prize pool value is $580,175.00. Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable and
cannot be taken as cash (unless otherwise indicated). The Prize must be taken as offered and
cannot be varied. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any tax implications that may arise
from the Prize winnings. Independent financial advice should be sought. The Promoter accepts
no responsibility for any variation in Prize value. All Prize values are the recommended retail price
including GST (where applicable).
23. If a Prize becomes unavailable, for any reason beyond the Promoterâs reasonable control, then a
comparable prize of equal or greater value will be awarded in lieu.
24. If this promotion is not capable of running as planned for any unforeseeable reason, the Promoter
reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion
and/or, if necessary, to provide an alternative prize or prizes to the same value as the original
Prize.
WINNERâS SOCIAL MEDIA AND CONTENT OBLIGATIONS
25. As a condition of accepting a Prize, each Winner and their Guest(s) (if any) agree to engage in
social media activities and produce a certain level of content in the manner directed by the
Promoter (Content) Winners and their Guest(s) (if any) will be required to engage in providing
social media updates based around the activities set out in the Code of Conduct. This includes
making posts on Twitter and Facebook relating to the event.
CONTENT OBLIGATIONS
26. By entering this promotion, each Entrant warrants to the Promoter that, in the event that they are
a Winner, they and their Guest(s) (if any) will not submit any Content that:
a. violates the privacy rights, copyright, contract rights or other rights (including but not limited
to Intellectual Property Rights) of any person, corporation or entity;
b. is illegal, contrary to any Laws, indecent, obscene, threatening, discriminatory, harassing,
in breach of any confidence, defamatory, libellous, offensive or objectionable;
c. includes an image or reference to another person that you have submitted without that
person's consent;
d. includes an image of an attraction which the Entrant has been advised is not permitted to
be photographed; or
e. is contrary to the requirements or directions of relevant Regulators;
f. contains any misrepresentations or suggestion that any entity has the approval or
sponsorship of any other entity which it does not have;
g. is patently offensive and promotes racism, bigotry, hatred or physical harm of any kind
against any group or individual;
h. contains nudity, violence, or offensive subject matter or contains a link to an adult website;

i. solicits personal information from anyone under 18 years old;
j. provides any telephone numbers, street addresses, last names, URLs or email addresses;
k. involves the transmission of "junk mail," "chain letters," or unsolicited mass mailing, instant
messaging, "spamming";
l. solicits passwords or personal identifying information for commercial or unlawful purposes
from other users;
m. involves commercial activities and/or sales without the Promoterâs prior written consent
such as contests, sweepstakes, barter, advertising, or pyramid schemes;
n. contains any viruses, Trojan horses, worms, time bombs, cancelbots, easter eggs or other
computer programming routines that may damage, modify, delete, detrimentally interfere
with, surreptitiously intercept, access without authority or expropriate any system, data or
personal information; and/or
o. has been used in previous marketing materials or promotions for any third party or where
any third party has been granted use of that content for any purpose whatsoever, including
commercial purposes.
27. It is a condition of accepting a Prize that the Winners and their Guest(s) (if any) may each be
required to sign a legal release/s and/or sign and adhere to a code of conduct in a form
determined by the Promoter in its absolute discretion. All Winners are required to ensure that
their Guest(s) are aware of and will comply with these Conditions of Entry otherwise the Winner
and their Guest(s) may forfeit the Prize at the discretion of the Promoter.
28. Each Winner and Guest indemnifies, and must defend and hold harmless, the Promoter and its
employees, servants, agents and contractors, from and against all Losses arising from: a breach
by the Winner and Guest(s) (if any) of any of these Conditions of Entry; any third party claim
arising directly or indirectly from a breach by the Winner and Guest of any of these Conditions of
Entry; a negligent, wilful or otherwise wrongful act or omission of the Winner and Guest(s) (if
any); fraudulent or dishonest acts or omissions by the Winner and Guest; any breach by the
Winner and Guest of any applicable Laws; any claim by any third party (including individuals,
legal entities and governmental departments or agencies) arising directly or indirectly as a result
of the Winner and Guest entering this promotion; the death of, or personal injury to, any person or
any damage to, or loss or destruction of, any real or tangible personal property, to the extent
caused by any act or omission of the Winner and Guest or any error, defamation, libel, obscenity,
profanity or inaccuracy of the Entry or Content; and any claim or allegation that the Winner and
Guest(s)â (if any) Entry or Content infringes a third partyâs Intellectual Property Rights or
constitutes an unlawful disclosure or misuse or misappropriation of another parties trade secret or
confidential information.
29. The Winners and their Guest(s) (if any) acknowledge that the Prize may involve a dangerous
activity, which may result in injury or death, and participates at their own risk. The Winner: (a)
must attend, undergo and pass any appropriate training, briefings, safety demonstrations,
required medical tests and other requirements (including blood alcohol testing) of the Promoter
and/or a Prize supplier as determined by them in their absolute discretion; (b) must declare to the
Promoter and/or a Prize supplier (as applicable) any health-related issues that may affect his/her
safe participation in any part of the Prize and obtain a written clearance from their doctor in this
respect; (c) must not have any heart condition or history thereof, or other medical conditions that
would make it dangerous to participate in any part of the Prize; (d) must not be under the
influence of any illicit substances; (e) must comply with all directions of the Promoter, a Prize
supplier and relevant officials; and (f) must wear all safety and other equipment required. The
Promoter and a Prize supplier in their absolute discretion (a) reserve the right to refuse to allow
the Winner and/or their Guest(s) (if any) to take part in any or all aspects of the Prize if they
reasonably believe the Winner and/or their Guest(s) (if any) pose a safety risk or for any other
reason; (b) may cancel the relevant component of the Prize if the conditions are deemed
dangerous. No compensation will be payable if the Winner and/or their Guest(s) (if any), are
unable to use any element of the Prize as stated for whatever reason, including refusal of
participation in certain Activities for health, age, behaviour or safety reasons.

30. The Promoter, its associated agencies and companies exclude all liability (including negligence)
except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, for any direct or indirect injury, loss and/or
damage arising in any way out of the promotion. This includes, but is not limited to: (i) technical
malfunctions, delays or failures, including those resulting from accessing any materials related to
this promotion and any incorrect, inaccurate or incomplete information communicated in the
course of, or in connection with, this promotion as a result of any technical malfunctions, delays
or failures; (ii) theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; (iii) lost or damaged Entries,
Prize claims or Prizes; and/or (iv) acceptance and/or use of a Prize.
31. The Winner and their Guest(s) (if any) agree that the Entry and Content may be used on the
Promotional Website, the Visit Canberra Page and Entry and generally via Facebook or other
social media platforms for public viewing and that their Entry, Content and personal details
including image and/or voice in any form may also be used by the Promoter in any media for an
unlimited period of time without remuneration or compensation for the purpose of promoting,
publicising and/or marketing this promotion (including any outcome) and/or promoting any
products/services supplied by the Promoter. The Winner and their Guest(s) (if any) agree that the
Winner and their Guest(s) (if any) will participate in all reasonable promoted activities in relation
to the promotion as requested by the Promoter and its agents.
32. Winners and their Guest(s) (if any) are solely responsible and liable for the content of their
Entries, Content and any other information they transmit to other Internet users (as applicable).
The Promoter may delete and/or request the deletion of any content posted on the Visit Canberra
Page and/or Entry and/or any other social media platform in accordance with its and the social
media platformâs prevailing terms and conditions of use. The Promoter is not responsible and
excludes all liability (to the greatest extent allowable by law) for the content of any Entries and/or
Content (as applicable) submitted for the purposes of this promotion (including but not limited to
any illegal, incorrect or inaccurate content and third party advertising).
33. A Winner can be disqualified after a Winner is announced if they are found to have not acted in
accordance with these Conditions of Entry. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at
any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
34. All right, title and interest in all Intellectual Property Rights in all of the Promoterâs and its
promotional partnersâ brands, logos, trading names and products will remain or be vested in the
Promoter. Participation in this promotion by an Winner and their Guest(s) (if any) will not under
any circumstances be taken to constitute a transfer, assignment or grant of any Intellectual
Property or other ownership rights in any of the Promoterâs brands, logos, trading names and
products. The Promoter, on a case by case basis and to the extent required, grants to each
Winner and Guest(s) a non-exclusive licence for the Promotional Period and during their
participation in the Prize (if applicable) for use of the Promoterâs brands, logos, trading names
and products solely for the purpose, and to the extent necessary, to enable each Winner and
Guest(s) (if any) to create their Entry and/or Content (as applicable).
35. Winners and their Guest(s) (if any) retain copyright of their Entry and Content. By entering this
promotion, Winner and their Guest(s) (if any) agree to grant the Promoter and its promotional
partners a perpetual, worldwide, irrevocable, unconditional, non-exclusive, transferable licence
(and agree to use their best endeavours to procure any relevant third parties to grant to the
Promoter such licence) to use the Entry and Content (in whole or in part) (as applicable) for the
purposes of this promotion in any manner and for marketing and promoting the Promoter and its
promotional partners and/or their goods and services without the further consent of the Winner
and their Guest(s) (if any) and without any further payment or compensation payable to the
Winner and their Guest(s) (if any).

36. As far as reasonably practicable the Promoter will attribute authorship of the Entry or Content to
the Winner and their Guest(s) (if any). Each Winner and their Guest(s) (if any) freely and
expressly consents pursuant to the moral rights provisions in the Copyright Act 1968 (Cth) to the
Promoter reproducing, using, communicating to the public, performing in public, altering, adapting
or exploiting any part of the Entry or Content on the Promotional Website, the Visit Canberra
Page, via Facebook or other social media platforms or any other promotional material such as
flyers, posters and brochures, without attributing authorship to the Winner and their Guest(s) (if
any).
GENERAL
37. Facebook membership, the âlikingâ of Facebook pages, Facebook notifications, Facebook pages
and use of Facebook generally is subject to the Facebook prevailing terms and conditions of use
available at
www.facebook.com. The promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or
administered by, or associated with, Facebook. Winners and their Guest(s) (if any) understand
that they are providing their information to the Promoter and not to Facebook. Entrants are solely
responsible and liable for the content of their Entries and any other information they transmit to
other Internet users. To the extent permitted by law, each Winner and their Guest(s) (if any)
agree to indemnify, defend and forever hold harmless, Facebook and its associated agencies and
companies, against any and all Losses, actions, claims, costs, expenses and damages (of any
nature) which may be incurred by a Winner and their Guest(s) (if any) in respect of the Winner
and their Guest(s)â (if any) participation in the promotion. Any questions, comments or complaints
about this promotion must be directed to the Promoter and not to Facebook.
38. Any costs associated with accessing the Entry, the Promotional Website or any social media
platform in respect of the promotion remain the responsibility of each Winner and their Guest(s) (if
any) and may vary depending on the Internet service provider used. Contact details entered
incorrectly on the Promotional Website or Entry by a Winner and their Guest(s) (if any) will deem
an Entry invalid.
39. Any attempt, deliberate or otherwise, to cause malicious damage or interference with the normal
functioning of the Promotional Website, Visit Canberra Page and/or Entry and/or the information
on the Promotional Website, Visit Canberra Page and/or Entry, or to otherwise undermine the
legitimate operation of this promotion may be a violation of criminal and civil laws and, should
such an attempt be made, whether successful or not, the Promoter reserves the right to seek
damages to the fullest extent permitted by law. If the Promoter suffers Loss or incurs any costs in
connection with any breach of these Conditions of Entry or any other legal obligation by an
Entrant, the Entrant agrees to indemnify the Promoter for those Losses, damages and costs.
PRIVACY
40. By participating in the promotion, an Entrant, Winner and their Guest(s) (if any) also acknowledge
that a further primary purpose for collection of personal information by the Promoter is to enable
the Promoter to use the information to assist the Promoter in improving goods and services and
to contact the Entrant in the future with information on special offers or to provide the Entrant with
marketing materials via any medium including mail, telephone and commercial electronic
messages (SMS (Short Message Service), MMS (Multimedia Message Service), IM (Instant
Messaging) and email) or any other form of electronic, emerging, digital or conventional
communications channel whether existing now or in the future. The Promoter may share
information with its Australian related companies or promotional partners who may contact the
Entrant with special offers in this way. By entering the promotion or participating in the Prize, an
Entrant, Winner and their Guest(s) (if any) acknowledge and agrees that the Promoter may use
the Entrant, Winner and/or Guest(s) personal information in the manner set out in this condition.

41. In these Conditions of Entry: âIntellectual Property Rightsâ means all present and future rights
of whatever nature anywhere in the world including, but not limited to, rights in respect of or in
connection with copyright, inventions (including patents), trade marks, service marks, trade
names, domain names, designs, confidential information, trade secrets and know-how and similar
industrial, commercial and intellectual property rights, whether or not registered or registrable,
and includes the right to apply for the registration of such rights, and whether existing in Australia
or otherwise. âLawsâ means all laws including rules of common law, principles of equity, statutes,
regulations, proclamations, ordinances, by-laws, rules, regulatory principles and requirements,
statutory rules of an industry body, statutory mandatory codes of conduct, writs, orders,
injunctions, judgments, and Australian generally accepted accounting principles. âLossesâ means
loss, damage, liability, charge, expense or cost (including all reasonable legal and other
professional costs on a full indemnity basis) of any nature or kind. âRegulatorsâ means any
regulatory agency or any private entity that functions in a quasi-regulatory manner, having any
applicable jurisdiction and includes the Advertising Standards Bureau, the Australian Association
of National Advertisers, the Australian Communications and Media Authority, the Commonwealth
Department of Broadband, Communications and the Digital Economy, the Australian Competition
and Consumer Commission, the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, the
Classification Board, the Telecommunications Industry Ombudsman and any authority, agency or
entity that is substituted for, or takes over the functions of, any of those organisations.
