SOH STANDARD COMPETITION TERMS AND CONDITIONSInformation on how to enter and the prizes form part of these Terms and Conditions of entry. Participation in this promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
The Promoter is Sydney Opera House Trust, Bennelong Point, Sydney NSW 2000. ABN 69 712 101 035.
Entry is open to residents of Australia over the age of eighteen. Employees and their immediate families of the Promoter and agencies and companies associated with this promotion are not eligible to enter the promotion.
The competition commences on Friday 3 August 2012 Australian Eastern Standard time and will close at 11.59 pm Australian Eastern Standard time on Wednesday 29 August.
You may enter the competition as many times as you like. However, the Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any incomplete or automated entries.
To enter the competition, participants must:
like the ‘Dance at the House’ facebook page then,
follow the prompts to upload an image of their dance pose, and
include their first name, last name, email address and telephone number.
Chance plays no part in determining the winners. Prize winners will be selected by a judge appointed by the Promoter, based on a combination of their location, pose and the type of filter they’ve used. The first prize is a 32GB New iPad (W-Fi + Cellular) valued at $789. The five runner up prizes are $100 Westfield vouchers.
The Promoter’s decision in relation to any aspects of the competition is final and binding on every person who enters and no correspondence will be entered into.
The winner will be notified by email and telephone and will be published on the Sydney Opera House website,
www.sydneyoperahouse.com on Thursday 30 August. All prize winners’ photographs will be featured on our facebook page and blog.
Prizes will be sent via standard post or courier.
All entries become the property of the Promoter. Promoter reserves the right to publish the entries or any part of the entries in any manner including to promote the Sydney Opera House without seeking the permission of the entrant.
Each entrant warrants that s/he is the creator and owner of the entry and that s/he has full rights in and title to all aspects of the entry.
Each entrant assigns and transfers all right, title and interest in the copyright and other intellectual property rights in the entry to Promoter.
Each entrant waives its moral rights in respect of the entry and consents to use of the entry by Promoter without any attribution as to authorship by Promoter. Each entrant waives its moral rights of integrity so that Promoter is free to modify, alter and use the entry for any purpose and in any manner it chooses.
Each entrant warrants that s/he has the rights to assign all interests in the copyright in the entry to Promoter and indemnifies Promoter against any claims, demands, losses, damages and costs that Promoter incurs or may incur as a result of a breach of this warranty.
The Promoter’s decision in relation to any aspects of the competition is final and binding on every person who enters and no correspondence will be entered into.
The Promoter and companies associated with this promotion will take no responsibility for prizes damaged or lost in transit.
Entries are deemed to be received at the time of receipt onto the Promoter’s facebook page. The Promoter is not responsible for entries not received or the receipt of incorrect, inaccurate, or incomplete information caused by an entrant or occurring during transmission. The Promoter is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone or computer network, line or server or internet provider, traffic congestion on any phone or computer network or any combination thereof including any dame to participants computer related to or resulting from participation or uploading any material in this Competition.
If for any reason this promotion is cancelled or is not capable of running as planned, due to an intervention of any outside agent or event which naturally changes the result or prevents or hinders its determination, including but not limited to vandalism, power failures, tempests, natural disasters, acts of God, civil unrest, strikes; the Promoter may in its absolute discretion cancel the event and recommence it from the start on the same conditions subject to State Regulation
In the event that for any reason whatsoever a winner does not take an element of the prize at the time stipulated by the Promoter then that element of the prize will be forfeited by the winner and cash will not be awarded in lieu of that element of the Prize.
The personal information you provide in entering this competition, including the photograph you upload, will be used by the Promoter to conduct the competition. By entering this promotion, the entrant consents to the storage of their personal information on the Promoter’s database and the Promoter may use this information for future promotional and marketing purposes regarding the Promoter’s products including contacting the entrant via electronic messaging. Your name and contact details may also be shared with various third party organisations, including resident companies, presenting partners and our sponsors, who may contact you from time to time regarding promotions. Such organisations must comply with the Promoter’s Privacy Policy and with strict conditions governing how personal information is to be handled including applicable privacy Laws.
In case of an emergency Sydney Opera House will use the contact details supplied by you when entering this competition.
