FASHION: Are you the next face of Quirky Circus?






Australian fashion label Quirky Circus, together with Myer, have launched a fabulous competition to find the ‘face’ of the brand.

The competition is currently running through the Quirky Circus facebook page and will endeavor to find a fresh face of the young playful label.

Inspired by vintage shapes and prints, Quirky Circus is all about off-beat feminine pieces at affordable prices. The Quirky Circus girl is young, girly, playful and directional. She is on trend but original. She is versatile and exudes her own unique and confident style.


The competition will run in two phases:

1. A photo competition where finalists will be narrowed down to six top entrants.

2. The final phase of the competition will involve a video component.


Entrants will be asked to submit a photograph of themselves and a short blurb explaining why they should be the new face of Quirky Circus. The six finalists will be asked to submit a short video that will cast them as the face of Quirky Circus.

Get in quick, because phase one closes on 30 November.

The winning candidate will be announced on 19 December and will receive not only a Quirky Circus wardrobe, but the opportunity to gain national exposure as the face of the campaign.

Girls, this is more than a competition! Rather an opportunity to make a discovery about where you connect with the Quirky Circus brand and it’s customers!

THE SEARCH FOR THE FACE OF QUIRKY CIRCUS

Conditions of Entry

1. By entering this Promotion, Entrants agree to abide by these Conditions of Entry. The Promoter is Defected Pty Ltd (trading as The Defectors) ABN 22 140 475 798 of 3/145 William St, Darlinghurst, New South Wales, Telephone (02) 9993 0450 on behalf of MINKPINK Fashion Group, 30 Bowden Street, Alexandria, 2015 Australia. ABN: 49 121 179 646, +61 2 9212 4788.
2. The Promotion commences at 10.01am AEDT on 14 November 2012 and closes at 17.00pm AEDT on 30th November 2012 (Promotion Period). The top six finalists will be notified by the Promoter on 2nd December 2012.
3. Entry is open to any Australian resident aged 16 years or older (Entrant). Employees and their immediate families of the Promoter, related companies of the Promoter and agencies associated with the promotion and their related companies are ineligible to enter. Entries are limited to one entry per person.
4. Information on how to enter this Promotion forms part of these Conditions of Entry.
5. To enter the Promotion, Entrants must, during the Promotion Period:
5.1. Visit www.facebook.com/quirkycircus and click on the Quirky Circus Comp tab;
5.2. Upload a photo (“Content”) and enter their contact details (Entry);
5.3. Once submitted, an Entrant cannot alter or delete their Entry or Content;
5.4. Entrants will be sent a unique URL that they can share with their friends on Facebook;
5.5. The top six (6) Entrants who get the most “votes” on their Entry will be selected as the Finalists;
5.6. Finalists must submit a one (1) minute video of themselves describing “What makes them Quirky and how they fit as the next face for Quirky Circus”.
6. Only one Entry is permitted per Entrant. Incomplete, indecipherable or inaccurate Entries will be disqualified from the Promotion.
7. By entering the Competition and submitting content, entrants agree that:
7.1. They are least 16 years old, and any person/s appearing in the Content are at least 16 years old;
7.2. They have the permission of the person/s appearing in the Content: (i) to submit it to the relevant site, and (ii) for them and their image or likeness to be subject to these terms, including use by MINKPINK Fashion;
7.3. They have the right to submit the Content (including rights relating to copyright); the Content is their own original creation; and they unconditionally and irrevocably consent to any act or omission which might infringe any moral rights they may have in the Content (as defined in the Copyright Act 1968 (Cth));
7.4. MINKPINK Fashion may copy, reproduce, publish, display, alter, or distort the Content, and use it for any purpose, (including without limitation, any future promotions or campaigns involving Quirky Circus) at any time in the future, and via any media;
7.5. MINKPINK Fashion or the Promoter may reject or choose not to display the Content on the site, or remove the Content (or any associated comments, posts or links) from the site, in its sole discretion;
7.6. Neither MINKPINK Fashion nor the Promoter accept any responsibility or liability where Content is downloaded from the site, nor in relation to any matters after such download. Third parties may comment on, link to, re-post, or otherwise deal with the Content once it is submitted, and neither Quirky Circus nor the Promoter accept any liability for such actions.
8. The Promoter reserves the right to remove any image it deems to be inappropriate, and exclude the Entry associated with it from the Promotion in its absolute discretion. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of Entries and to disqualify any Entry which, in the opinion of the Promoter, includes objectionable content, profanity, potentially insulting, inflammatory or defamatory statements or which in their opinion either infringe or potentially infringe upon the intellectual property rights of any third party, disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process, who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms of Entry or who has, in the opinion of the Promoter, engaged in conduct in entering the Promotion which is fraudulent, misleading, deceptive or generally damaging to the goodwill or reputation of the Promotion, and/or the Promoter and/or MINKPINK Fashion Group without giving reasons or recourse for its decision. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify a winner if the Promoter becomes aware that the winner and/or the winner’s Entry is of a type described in this clause.
9. Entries are deemed to be received at the time of receipt into the Promotion database, which may be after they are uploaded to the Entry page. The Promoter is not responsible for any delay in, or failure of, transmission or uploading via the Entry page or for any late, lost or misdirected entries due to technical disruptions, network congestion or for any other reason which causes an Entry not to be received within the Promotion Period.
10. By entering this Promotion and submitting an Entry you warrant that it is comprised entirely of content which you either created or which you are otherwise permitted to distribute. You also warrant that you have the permission of all individuals depicted or appearing in any content which the Entry comprises to submit a content in which they appear.
11. All Entries displayed on the Competition App may be moderated and displayed on of MINKPINK Fashion Group websites and their Facebook pages. These images and associated usernames will be made public to all. By entering the Promotion and accepting these Conditions of Entry, you agree that your Entry can be broadcast on the Quirky Circus Facebook Page, via digital feeds or on social media platforms by of MINKPINK Fashion Group.
12. In consideration for MINKPINK Fashion Group awarding the prize to the winner (including runners up), the winners give MINKPINK Fashion Group non-exclusive rights to use their submitted Entry in promotional formats such as announcing the winners via MINKPINK Fashion Group websites, the Quirky Circus Facebook Page and other MINKPINK Fashion Group social media platforms. The winner will not be entitled to any fee for such use.
13. No bulk, third party or organised group Entries will be accepted. No Entrant may win more than one prize during the Promotion Period. If it becomes apparent that an Entrant is using a computer(s) to circumvent this condition by, for example, the use of ‘script’, brute force’ or any other automated means, that Entrant’s Entry will be disqualified and any Prize award will be void.
14. The Total Prize Pool value is over $1000.00. There is one (1) Prize in total. The Prize Winner must be available to attend and take part in a Quirky Circus photo shoot in Sydney from Friday 04/03/201 (AM) to Sunday 06/03/2012 (PM). The Winner will receive:
14.1. Return flights to Sydney from an Australian capital city (residents outside of capital cities will be required to arrange their own transport to a departure point).
14.2. All meals and travel costs during their time in Sydney.
14.3. A “Quirky Circus experience” for the day, including car transfers, and meals.
14.4. A 12 month supply of Quirky Circus product, to be delivered to the Winner each month for a 12 month period commencing 01/12/2012 and concluding 01/11/2013.
14.5. The opportunity to write a “guest blog post” for Quirky Circus’s blog and Facebook pages. This will be subject to editing by the Promoter.


15. The Prize is not exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash. No responsibility is accepted for any variation in the value of the prize. In the event that for any reason whatsoever a winner does not take an element of a Prize at the time stipulated by the Promoter then that element of the Prize will be forfeited by the winner and cash will not be awarded in lieu of that element of the Prize. The prize is subject to booking and availability, and is subject to any terms and conditions imposed by the relevant providers. All costs associated with a travel prize which are not expressly stated to be included, including additional spending money, transfer costs, meals, taxes, insurance, luggage costs and all other ancillary costs, are the responsibility of the winner. Any alterations or extensions to confirmed prize details must be approved in advance by the Promoter (at its sole discretion). The Promoter is not responsible for the cancellation, delay or rescheduling of any part of a travel prize and any costs incurred by the winner or any travelling companion(s) as a result (including accommodation costs) will be the responsibility of the winner.
16. “All inclusive” refers to the following costs included in the prize value – flights, local travel from airport to shoot location and return to airport only. Meals for the day to a total value of $100.
17. If you are 16 years of age you will require a parent or guardian’s written consent to travel alone OR your parent or guardian may travel with you at their own expense.
18. Judging will take place at House of Quirky, 30 Bowden Street, Alexandria NSW 2015 on 14th December 2012. Judging will be done by a committee of Myer associates and House of Quirky management. The judges will judge the videos from the top 6 Finalists and select a Winner based on their Video Entry and how well they fit as the next face of Quirky Circus. The Winner will be contacted via phone or email by 19th December 2012. The Winner will be announced on the Quirky Circus Facebook Page by 20th December 2012.
19. Entries that use vote share websites or post their entries on competition forums, affiliate sites or any site deemed to be a competition community (in the Promoter’s sole discretion) may be eliminated from the Competition by administrators.

21. If for any reason this Competition is not capable of running as planned because of infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this promotion, the Promoter reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion or to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, subject to any written directions given under applicable State or Territory legislation.
22. This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook. Entrants are providing their information to MINKPINK Fashion and not to Facebook. The information provided will only be used for communication purposes related to this Competition.
23. This Promotion is a game of skill. Chance plays no part in determining the winners.
24. The Promoter’s decision is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of Entries and Entrants and to disqualify any Entrant who submits an Entry that is not in accordance with these Conditions of Entry or who tampers with the Entry process including the use of any form of automated entry device or software. Entrants found to be using organised vote exchange forums, vote exchange groups, vote exchange networks and vote exchange websites will be disqualified from the Promotion. This decision will be investigated and actions at the Promoter’s discretion.
25. This Promotion is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with Facebook. You understand that you are providing your information to MINKPINK Fashion Groupand not to Facebook.
26. The Promoter and Facebook shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to direct or consequential loss) or for any personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with any Prize/s, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by lawand Entrants release both the Promoter and Facebook from any such liability.
27. The Promoter is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, either caused by an Entrant using their smartphone or for any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilised in this competition, or for any technical error, or any combination thereof that may occur in the course of the administration of this competition including any omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line or satellite network failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to or alteration of Entries.
28. If for any reason the Promotion is not capable of running as planned, including but not limited to fraud or causes beyond the control of the Promoter or anything which corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Promotion, the Promoter reserves the right in their sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Promotion, subject to any directions from a regulatory authority.
29. The information Entrants provide will be used by the Promoter for the purpose of conducting this Promotion. The Promoter may disclose Entrants’ personal information to companies and agencies connected with this Promotion.
30. By entering this Promotion, Entrants are providing personal information to the Promoter and not to Facebook. The collection, use and disclosure of personal information in connection with the Promotion is governed by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). Entrants agree and consent to the Promoter:
• using and disclosing the Entrant’s personal information for the purposes of conducting the Promotion, redeeming the Prize and any other matter connected to or incidental to the Promotion;
• using the Entrant’s personal information for the purposes of carrying out marketing, planning, product development and promotional campaigns, in any media including email and SMS, unless an Entrant otherwise withdraws their consent to the use of their information in this manner; and
• using the Entrant’s name, likeness, image and/or voice (including photograph, film and/or recording of the same) in any media for an unlimited period without remuneration for the purpose of promoting the Promotion and for any other purpose at the Promoter’s sole discretion.

PRIVACY POLICY

    The personal information you provide as part of your entry to the Competition will be used to promote MINKPINK Fashion and any other House of Quirky brands should you agree to receive marketing information.
    The personal information you provide as part of your entry will also be provided to MYER and used as part of their marketing database.
    MINKPINK Fashion, Myer and the Promoter may use your personal information to conduct the Competition, to contact you about any matter in connection with MINKPINK Fashion , the Myer business or the Competition, to conduct research and marketing activities (including to inform entrants about special offers, marketing, events, promotions, product launches and other special events and discounts from the Promoter, MINKPINK Fashion or Myer, and to become part of databases maintained by Myer, MINKPINK Fashion , the Promoter or associated entities), unless the entrant opts out of participating in such activities, and otherwise in accordance with the Promoter’s or Myer’s Privacy Policy. Entrants can advise the Promoter or Myer at any time if they no longer wish to participate in any such research and marketing activities. Otherwise, their consent will remain current until specifically withdrawn.
