Last week I posted a giveaway with the chance to win one of three Moment Watches, one each of the John Freeman collection. I was also lucky enough to be offered a chance to review the first watch in the Year of 52 Moments series. I love this concept and I’m so excited to be sharing it with you, I wish I was more artistic and could submit my own moment and illustration but instead will probably end up buying way too many watches this year.

The Year of 52 Moments series, an initiative of Moment Watches will see a new, specially designed limited edition watch released each week. The watches will feature stories from across the globe, each illustrating a poignant moment in time submitted to Moment Watches and chosen through a Moment Watches social media campaign. Launched on Christmas Day and available on the Moment Watches website, the first watch in the series is ‘Be Born’.


Christmas Day commemorates the birth of a special being – Jesus Christ. His birth brought into the world light, hope and love.

This ingenious watch design reflects the simplicity of God’s love for us by pointing to the gospel message: “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16

I am in love with the design of Moment Watches, the band feels great against the skin and the chunky watch (this one a square design), while large against my small wrist is comfortable to wear and will provide a great canvas to display special moments. I can’t wait to see what the other 51 illustrations chosen are and will be purchasing any that speak to me – a girl can never have enough accessories.

There are many, many things I like about ‘Be Born’ and if the meaning of this watch was different I’d be keeping it for myself instead of giving one of you a chance to win it but since I’m not at all a believer I thought the gorgeousness of this watch should be worn by someone who appreciated the sentiment behind the design.
