Game Rules
The Big Bash Streak Game is based on the 2012/2013 KFC Big Bash season. The competition commences at 19:00 (AEDT) on 7th December, 2012 and closes upon the start time of the Big Final on 19th January 2013.
For each match, players are given the full playing list of the two competing teams and can select one player who they believe will hit a six during the match. If that player does hit a six, the prediction is correct. If the player fails to hit a six, the prediction is incorrect. Game players can predict as many or as few games as they like.
Streak Game:
This is a streak game - the winner of the competition is the player who gets the longest streak of correct predictions, NOT necessarily the player who predicts the most games correctly throughout the season.
The streak score is counted in a chronological order. If you make an incorrect prediction, your streak will end and you will start again from zero. Your highest streak throughout the competition will be your overall score
Users can enter predictions for each match at any time prior to 5 minutes before the scheduled starting time of the match.
In the event of two or more matches starting at the exact same official time, the streak will be scored according to the order in which the matches appear on the game Tipping page.
Rain effected matches:
Total Wash Out: If the game is called off due to rain without a ball being bowled, the match will count as a �skip�, and this will not end your streak. You will still be eligible for the major prize.
Partial Washout: If the game begins and then gets called off due to rain, this WILL count as a valid match.
Saving your Predictions:
Once you are happy with your predictions, you need to save them. You will not score any points for your predictions if they have not been saved.
To save your predictions, input the outcomes you wish to count towards your streak then press the Save button beneath the Predictions table.
You can edit your predictions right up until the scheduled starting time of each match, but make sure you press the Save button each time you change/enter your predictions.
Once you have registered as a user, we'll help you to keep on top of your Streak by sending you regular updates on your points, current picks, upcoming match fixtures & deadlines.
Points will be awarded as follows:
Result:Big Bash Super Six Predictor Game Points:
Correct Prediction (player hits a 6)+1
Incorrect Prediction (player fails to hit a 6)
Streak Resets to 0
(Longest streak will be saved)
If any decision is reversed from what was initially reported we will NOT amend the points already applied to users.
PLEASE NOTE: If two or more participants have the same longest consecutive streak and same number of streak points, then the Prize will be awarded to the participant who is deemed by the Promoter to have provided the most creative response to the following question required to be completed upon initial registration: In 25 words or less, tell us who you think will hit the most sixes throughout the tournament and why?
Prediction Deadlines:
Predictions for each game must be entered and saved 5 minutes before the published start time of each match. Once the deadline of a match has passed, you will be unable to enter or change your predictions for that match.
Recorded times for the Game are in Australian Eastern Daylight Time (AEDT).
Deadline For Joining The Game:
You can join the game at any point throughout the competition.
Every single profile is automatically entered into the overall ladder. However, you can also enter your profile into a private group with your friends or colleagues. To do this, just log on to your profile and visit �Private Competitions Admin� under the �Ladders� section of the website.
You can join up to 10 Private Competitions, however you can only be the 'chairman' of 3 Private Competitions. Once you have joined a group, you cannot be moved or deleted - so choose your groups carefully! You may register your Private Competitions right up until the start of the first match.
End of Season Winner:
The winner at the end of the competition will receive $5,000 cash.
The current best streak is 10, and including the final there is still time to overtake that amount if you are lucky enough!!
