Information on how to enter forms part of these conditions of entry. Entry to the promotion is open to residents of Australia aged 18 years and over who fulfil the entry requirements, except employees of the promoter and their immediate families and agencies associated with this promotion. To enter the competition, simply respond to the statement in 25 words or less, “Historically, who do you consider to be the UK’s greatest cultural icon, and why?”
The promotion commences on 17/01/13 and closes at 11.59pmAEDT 17/02/13 (the “Promotional Period”). Only entries completed on the official entry form and submitted electronically via the website
http://greatarts13.org.au will be accepted as valid. This is a game of skill and chance plays no part in determining winners. Each entry will be individually judged based on literary and creative merit. The Judges’ decision is final; no correspondence will be entered into. The best entry in this promotion as determined by the judges will be deemed as the winner.
Only one entry is permitted per contestant. Multiple entries from the one contestant will not be considered.
The Promoter assumes no responsibility for any failure to receive a claim or for any loss, damage or injury as a result of technical or telecommunications problems, including security breaches. If such problems arise, then the Promoter may modify, cancel, terminate or suspend the Promotion unless to do so would be prohibited by law and subject to the regulations of the gaming authorities.
Prizes are not transferrable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash. The promoter is neither responsible nor liable for any change in the value of a prize occurring between the promotion starting date and the date the prize is claimed.
The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including an entrant’s identity, age and place of residence) and to disqualify any entrant who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions or who tampers with the entry process. Failure by the
Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
Incomplete, indecipherable or illegible entries will be deemed invalid. Any incorrect details submitted may render the corresponding entry invalid.
If any Prize (or part of any prize) is unavailable, the Promoter, in its discretion, reserves the right to substitute the Prize (or that part of the Prize) with a prize to the equal value and/or specification
The Promoter accepts no responsibility for late, lost or misdirected entries. The Promoter assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to, or alteration of, the promotion.
If prize remains unclaimed by 22/03/2013, the Promoter may award the prize to another entrant whose entry is the next best in the opinion of the judges.
Each entrant warrants that all details provided in their entry form are true and correct and that the entry is their own original creation and work, and does not infringe the rights (including copyright) of any other person. Each entrant agrees to indemnify the Promoter in relation to any loss or damage resulting from any breach of warranty.
The Promoter shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including, but not limited to, indirect or consequential loss) or for any personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with this promotion, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
The Promoter may, at its absolute discretion, disqualify all entries from any person, and prohibit that person’s further participation in this Promotion, if the entrant: (i) fails to establish their entitlement to enter the Promotion to the Promoter’s satisfaction; or (ii) tampers with or benefits from any tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Promotion; (iii) submits an entry which in the Promoter’s opinion is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions; or (iv) acts in a disruptive manner or acts with the intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person.
In the event that for any reason whatsoever a prize winner does not take an element of a prize by the time stipulated by the promoter, the element of the prize will be forfeited by the prize winner and cash will not be awarded in lieu of that element of the prize.
Any costs associated with accessing the promotional website is the entrant’s responsibility and is dependent on the Internet service provider used.
If this Promotion is interfered with in any way (including but not limited to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures) or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, unless to do so would be prohibited by law, to (a) cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Promotion, and/ or (b) invalidate any affected entry(s), subject to the approval of the gaming authorities in each state and territory, where required.
The Promoter is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software, technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any web site, or any combination thereof, (including but not limited to) any injury or damage to participants or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from participation in or downloading any materials in this Promotion.
Entrants consent to the Promoter using the entrant’s name, likeness, image and/or voice in the event they are a winner (including photograph, film and/or recording of the same) in any media for an unlimited period without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this competition (including any outcome), and promoting any products manufactured, distributed and/or supplied by the Promoter.
As a condition of accepting a Prize, the winner may be required to sign any legal documentation as and in the form required by the Promoter and/or Prize suppliers in their absolute discretion, including but not limited to a legal release and indemnity.

One major prize winner will receive a UK Holiday consisting of: Three nights accommodation for 2 at the Radisson Blu Edwardian Mercer Street Hotel in Covent Garden valued at $1,500AUD including full buffet breakfast for two and complimentary wifi. 2 x adult return World Traveller economy class airfares airfares flying on British Airways operated flights valued at $6,000AUD. 2 x tickets to a major west end production of the promoters choosing valued at $150AUD. 2 x two Day London Pass valued at $190AUD. Total prize valued at $7,840AUD.
The prize will be subject to availability and blackout dates will apply including 13 – 14 April and the 11 May for the FA Cup, as well as the 20 – 25 May for the Chelsea Flower Show.
Both tickets must be used at the same time with all travel to be completed by 31 May 2013.
Prizes are not exchangeable for cash.

Any changes made to the booking after the tickets have been issued will incur a service fee.
The prize-winner and travelling companion must hold and carry a valid passport and any necessary visas.

The prize does not include any ancillary costs; these are at the prize-winners own expense.
