WIN! ‘Looper’ on DVD

Thanks to Roadshow Entertainment, Australian Penthouse is offering 5 readers the chance to win a DVD copy of the new Bruce Willis/Joseph Gordon Levitt science-fiction thriller, Looper (valued at $39.95).

THE MOVIE

The year is 2044 and the United States has suffered a major economic collapse, which in turn has triggered social decay and a massive growth in organised crime.

Thirty years in the future lies the invention of time travel, a science made immediately illegal, leaving it’s main proponents the corporation-sized organised crime syndicates.

One such syndicate hires Joe Simmons (Joseph Gordon-Levitt, The Dark Knight Rises) to be an assassin known as a “looper” to annihilate people the syndicate send back in time from 2074 to 2044. The victims are handed to Joe less on a silver platter than a sheet of plastic, and Joe is an effective killer, without remorse or regret, until his future self (Bruce Willis, Die Hard) is sent back for assassination, leaving Joe momentarily flustered, hesitating for a moment, enough time for his future-self to knock him out and escape.

After evading death, older Joe is on a mission to find the crime-boss known as the “Rainmaker”, who ordered his death. Meanwhile, t he younger Joe Simmons needs to kill his older self before he himself is assassinated for failing to carry out the hit.

Looper has already been heralded as one of the greatest sci-fi films ever created. Written and directed by Rian Johnson (Brick).

THE COMPETITION

To be in the running to win one DVD copy of Looper, answer the following question: “What is your all-time favourite science-fiction movie, and why?” in 25 words or less.

TERMS & CONDITIONS:

Game of Skill

Competition commences on 18/1/2012 and concludes on 8/2/2013 at 12:00pm. Entry is open to all residents of Australia, but excludes all employees of Australian Penthouse. This is a Game of Skill which contains no element of chance, and which will be judged by members of the Australian Penthouse staff on 8/2/12. Five winners will receive one DVD copy of Looper, as detailed above. Prizes will be mailed to winners at the address nominated in their entries.
