New York's Open Loose is performing at the Melbourne International Jazz Festival. Jazz Up Late has tickets to give away.
Open Loose is the trio of Mark Helias (bass), Tony Malaby (tenor saxophone) and Gerald Cleaver (drums). They're peforming at Bennetts Lane Jazz Club on Tuesday June 4.
Known for their exploration of open form improvisation, with composed pieces interwoven into their sets, Open Loose has developed a common language and connectivity which allows for adventurous, yet cohesive improvising.
Jazz Up Late with Gerry Koster has five double passes to give away to this intriguing performance at the 2013 Melbourne International Jazz Festival.
