The Heat



Uptight FBI special agent Sarah Ashburn (Sandra Bullock) is paired with testy Boston cop Shannon Mullins (Melissa McCarthy) in order to take down a ruthless drug lord.  The result is hilarity, with the two becoming the last thing anyone expected: buddies.

Twentieth Century Fox and AAA are sending one lucky winner and their guest to walk the red carpet with Sandra Bullock in Sydney at the Australian premiere of her new movie The Heat. The lucky winner will WIN two tickets to the Australian red carpet premiere of the movie at Sydney’s EVENT Cinema complex on Tuesday July 2, inclusive of return flights, return airport transfers and two nights hotel accommodation at the 5-star Swissotel.

To be in the running to WIN this once in a lifetime experience, simply enter the codeword found in AAA, inside The West Australian between Monday, June 17 to Friday, June 21 and enter below.

PLUS 50 runner up winners will also receive a double pass to the Perth preview of THE HEAT on Wednesday, July 10 at Reading Cinemas Belmont.

THE HEAT MOVIE COMPETITION
Terms and Conditions


1.    Instructions on how to enter, prize details and other information contained within the promotional advertisements form part of these terms and conditions. By participating, in this promotion entrants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

2.    Only entries with the correct codeword found in The West Australian between Monday June 17 and Friday June 21, 2013 and entered online at thewest.com.au/competitions by midnight WST Monday June 24, 2013 are valid.  Photocopies and facsimiles are not valid.

3.    Subject to clause 21, entry to the major prize draw is open to all residents of Western Australia over the age of 18. Entry to the runners up draw is open to all residents of Western Australia over the age of 15. Winners under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a Parent or Guardian when claiming and collecting their prize. Photo identification may be required upon collection of the prize.

4.    The major premiere prize winner will be drawn at 10am WST on Tuesday June 25, 2013 by The West Australian.

5.    The first valid entry drawn at random will be deemed the major prize winner and will receive the following prize. The total prize package is invaluable.

•    The opportunity for the winner and a guest to walk the red carpet at the Australian premiere of The Heat. This is a money can’t buy experience.
•    Two tickets to the Australian red carpet premiere of The Heat at Sydney’s Event Cinema complex on Tuesday July 2, 2013.
•    Return economy flights for two people to Sydney departing from Perth.
•    Return airport transfers valued at $180.
•    Two nights hotel accommodation for two people at the 5-star Swissotel valued at $498
•    A liaison tour guide on the ground to assist.

6.    The major prize winner will be notified by telephone after the prize draw.

7.    50 runners up will be drawn at random and will receive a double special preview pass to The Heat on Wednesday July 10, 2013, 7.00pm at Reading Cinemas, Belmont. Runners up will be notified by mail.

8.    All additional costs incurred will be at the expense of the winners.

9.    Travel Insurance and excess baggage charges are not included. All additional costs incurred will be at the expense of the winner and their companion.

10.    The winner and companion are responsible for all other expenses including spending money, meals drinks (alcoholic/non-alcoholic), transfers, laundry charges, activities, incidentals, taxes (including departure taxes), energy surcharges, gratuities, services charges, passports, visas, travel insurance and all other ancillary costs. Travel insurance is highly recommended to protect against the additional costs incurred in the event of unforeseen circumstances.

11.    It will be the winner’s responsibility to redeem the prize from the promoter. No cartage expenses are included in the prize.

12.    The travel and accommodation package is for two adults and is valid only from Monday July 1 to Wednesday July 3, 2013.

13.    If the winner is unable to travel within the specified dates, the winner's prize will be forfeited; dates and vouchers cannot be extended. The winner and their guests must travel together on the same flight. All costs associated with changes to flight and accommodation details once booked are the responsibility of the winner.

14.    The prize/s must be taken as supplied and is/are neither redeemable for cash nor transferable. No responsibility is accepted for any variation in the value of the prize.

15.    It is the winner’s responsibility to make their own way to Perth city to claim/redeem their prize.
16.    Proof of ID may be required from the winner at check-in to the hotel, for all incidental charges.

17.    The prize winner and companion are responsible for obtaining all necessary travel documents (eg. passport, visa) and complying with all health or other government regulations. Information is available at www.dfat.gov.au
18.    It is a condition of entry that all prize winners agree to have their name and suburb published for publicity purposes if required. By participating in this competition, participants signify their acceptance of all conditions and the requirement to participate in promotional activity if required.
19.    In participating in the competition, entrants agree to participate and co-operate as required in all editorial activities relating to the competition, including but not limited to being interviewed and photographed.  The winner agrees to grant the Promoter a perpetual and exclusive licence to use such footage and photographs, as well as their actual entries (whether on DVD or photograph) in all media worldwide and the winner will not be entitled to any fee for such use.  The winner agrees they will not, and will ensure that their companions do not, sell or otherwise provide their story and/or photographs to any media or other organisation.
20.    On completion of the prize draw, envelopes which contain the competition entries will be kept by The West Australian for twelve months. This is a mandatory requirement of the Gaming and Wagering Act WA. All coupon entries will be destroyed after this time period. No personal details will be recorded.
21.    Employees of, 20th Century Fox, West Australian Newspaper Limited, their associated agencies and immediate families, are ineligible to enter.

22.    All contestants release from, and indemnify 20th Century Fox, West Australian Newspaper Limited against, all liability, cost, loss or expense arising out of acceptance of any prize(s) or participation in the competition including (but not limited to) loss of income, personal injury and damage to property and whether direct or consequential, foreseeable, due to some negligent act or omission or otherwise.
23.    20th Century Fox, West Australian Newspaper Limited and associated agencies accept no responsibility for any loss, damage, accident, death or injury resulting from the promotion.

24.    Entry into this competition signifies acceptance of all conditions.  The Promoters’ decision will be final and cannot be contested.  No correspondence will be entered into.  The Promoters reserve the right to limit entry or amend rules if considered necessary without notice.

25.    17.1    The entrant consents to the use by West Australian Newspapers Limited Group and its related corporations (as defined by the Corporations Act 2001) of the entrants’ details and acknowledges that West Australian Newspapers Limited Group and its related corporations, may, at its discretion disclose and use those details for the purpose of providing you with goods or services, communicating with you, planning, research, product and business development and sales, the promotion and marketing (whether target, direct or indirect) of their businesses, services or products or those of a third party which we believe may be of benefit to you. The details will also be used to investigate complaints, as required or permitted by any law, to enable West Australian Newspapers Limited Group to perform its obligations to you under this or any other agreement and to ensure that you perform your obligations under this or any other agreement.
