Rate and Win Promotion Terms and Conditions
1. Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these Terms and Conditions. Participation in this promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
2. Entry is open to all residents of Australia. However, employees and their immediate families of the Promoter, their associated agencies and companies are not eligible to enter. Entry is free. No purchase required.
3. The Promoter is David Jones (ABN: 75 000 074 573) of Level 8, 86-108 Castlereagh Street, Sydney, NSW 2000.
4. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including an entrant’s identity, age and place of residence) and to disqualify any entrant who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions or who tampers with the entry process. Errors and omissions will be accepted at the Promoter’s discretion. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of their rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
5. Incomplete or indecipherable entries will be deemed invalid.
6. The competition commences on 14/08/13 at 00:01 AEDT and concludes on 11/09/13 at 23:59 AEDT. Entries will be judged by David of Level 8, 86-108 Castlereagh Street, Sydney, NSW 2000.
7. The competition will be advertised through email, social media, banner advertising and at www.davidjones.com.au
8. This is a game of skill and chance plays no part in determining the winner. To enter, you need to rate and review a product that you have used or you know a lot about. The rate and review of the product must be on the Promoter’s website. The rate and review is available for other shoppers to read. Each week (for a total of four weeks), the promoter will individually judge each product review based on how helpful the review is in helping other shoppers choose products.
9. The winners will be notified by email within 2 days after each week’s judgement date (21/08/13, 28/08/13, 04/09/13, 11/09/13). The winners will be notified of their prize in writing via email.
10. Entrants must have an active David Jones online account and be signed in to write a review.
11. The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
12. Ten of the most helpful valid entries each week (during the four weeks of the promotion), as determined by the judges will win a $50 David Jones Online Gift Card in the form of a promotional code.
13.The promotion code cannot be returned, exchanged for cash or used to pay any David Jones branded credit card or other credit card accounts. The promotional code issued is valid for 3 months from the issue date.
14. If for any reason a winner does not redeem the Prize by the time stipulated by the Promoters, then the Prize will be forfeited.
15. Total prize pool value is $2000. That is, 40 x $50 David Jones Online Gift Cards. 16. All entries submitted become the property of the Promoters.
17. Entrants consent to the Promoters using the entrant's name, likeness, image and/or voice in the event they are a winner (including photograph, film and/or recording of the same) in any media for an unlimited period without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this competition (including any outcome), and promoting any products manufactured, distributed and/or supplied by the Promoters.
18.The Promoter and its related companies, employees and agencies shall not be liable for any loss, damage or personal injury (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) suffered by an person arising directly or indirectly out of or in connection with entering this promotion or claiming/winning any prize, except as required by law.
19. If you enter this competition, the Promoter will collect personal information about you so that you can participate in the competition and the Promoter can administer the competition. Entry is conditional on providing this information. When the entrant gives their consent by writing a review you give your consent to receive marketing information, the Promoter may use the information for promotional, marketing, publicity, research and profiling purposes, including sending electronic messages or telephoning the entrant.
